Dear Szymon. We have driven around Iceland and hit all the major stops before; however, never made it to Landmannalaugar... We are heading to Iceland and Greenland in August 2023. We will be staying at the Raven's Nest 2.5 hours away from the campsite. I was wondering what you can recommend for most scenic locations at Landmannalaugar. The dramatic lake/black&red ash on cliff look absolutely amazing and I was wondering where is that place... Thank you!
Dear Szymon, this video of yours is very beautiful as well as helpful. We'll be there in Sept, if you can tell the below is possible or not for Landmannalaugar 1. Itinerary: a. Day 1: Drive around & check the famous spots @ Golden Circle b. Day 1: visit Haifoss & Sigoldugljufur on our way to Landmannalaugar. Reach hopefully by evening c. Day 2: Do a small hike at one of the many spots @ Landmannalaugar in the morning. Then drive towards Vik via Seljalandsfoss, Skogafoss 2. Do you have the details of the hut over there to book accomodations?
Hi there, thanks. Appreciate it. 1.a Possible 1.b Might be possible, depends on the car and water level 1.c Might be possible 2. There's just one campsite, easy to Google. ( As far as I know, the facility might be closed by September, days are getting shorter and colder ) I would recommend to visit that region June - Juny - August. The lowest risk of roads being not accessible.
Great video!!! I've been to Landmannalaugar last September by bicycle, it was amazing and I made a video too about our journey.Thank you for sharing. You have a new follower
Great car and very popular choice here in Iceland, nevertheless keep checking level of yhe water before you cross rivers. You don't want to wait for help on the roof of your Jimmy ( it happens ). Just be cautious, take your time to choose the best path and you'll be fine. ;)
Thanks Daria. Well, it all depends on the water level at the rivers you will have to cross, during the summer the level is rather low so it shouldn't be a challenge. ;)
This is absolutely stunning. Thank you so much for sharing this!
Super film. W przyszłym roku jedziemy. Dzięki za film, teraz wiem jaka droga tam będzie w lipcu. Chociaż Dustera raczej zostawimy przed rzekami.
Amazing footage!

We rented a suzuki jimny 2015 and we are heading to iceland at the end of august? You think will be okay?

Hi Szymon, great video. Can you tell me if Toyota RAW4 is sufficient to drive there ? Best regards
Thanks Daria. Well, it all depends on the water level at the rivers you will have to cross, during the summer the level is rather low so it shouldn't be a challenge. ;)
Hi! this video is amazing! :) May I ask you... is this the landmannaleid road + the last bit is the F208? I'm planning a trip to iceland soon :)
Hi there, thanks. Indeed, it is. As title says, first part of the video has been taken on F225 and last few shots it's F208.
Only 0:13-0:33 looks like Landmannaleid. The rest is Landmannalaugar and the surrounding area.
Great video! 😊 Are there any river crossings on F225?
Yes, there are at least 2 parts where you have to cross the river, although during the summer it should not be an issue with SUV ;)
Czesc-nie wyglada na jakas zbyt wymagajaca trase?Byly jakies miejsca po drodze, gdzie sie zastanawiales czy twoja terenowka da rade?

Did you edit the colors in post ?
Just very basic adjustments in Adobe Premiere Pro. More like correction.
No problems with that car?

Was that roof top tent helpful?...p
The roof tent is a popular solution here so I guess it has to work, although in my case it was just luggage rack. ;)
what month did you go to Island ?
The video has been shot at July. Seems to be best time to explore Highlands. ;)
