Oh man -- I'm sorry about the jaw issue! I had dental work a long time, the oral surgeon left my jaw open too long, seriously, and kind of hard, if that makes sense, but it locked my jaw so that I had the same problem until one day I told my husband to please take our little two year old daughter out to the museum so I could relax thoroughly. With the house to myself, I stood in front of the mirror and managed to alowly get my jaw fully open. After that, I never had any problem. It just required the kind of "Zen" consciousness to get my jaw through that "lock." Good luck. I hope this may help you.
I had the same problem for years: TMJ temporal mandible joint. Dr said I wouldn't be able to eat small mammals. I've lived in FL for five years and still don't know. How do they git them marine mammals to wear helmets?
