I love the VSU releases by @vinegarsyndromefilms and this is the first entry in my lists of films that I would love to see get the VSU treatment and release by #vinegarsyndrome Here is my Top 10! Pop that tape in, I got you, let's go do this!
Dude, awesome choices for the VSU line. I could see most of those being good potential candidates. I love that you mentioned flicks like Legend of Billie Jean, Gleaming the Cube, and Iron Eagle from my childhood/teen years. Another one I would add to the mix is Pump Up the Volume (another Christian Slater deal). Great film! Good video man.
Thanks man! Yesssss on Pump Up The Volume!! Christian Slater was everywhere wasn't he? Lol... btw, I just watched True Romance for the first time believe it or not, and I really enjoyed it!
@@AVAPopCulture oh very cool! Yeah you can't go wrong with the Tony Scott/Tarantino combo. Solid gold all the way! Love that film! Glad to hear you enjoyed it.
WOW, Great picks! Over the Top, Toy Soldiers and Iron Eagle would be perfect for VSU. Loved these movies when I was a kid. It's criminal that The Program still has no HD release. l will also love to see Beyond the Law 1993 with Charlie Sheen and Kenny Rogers movie Six Pack.
Vinegar Syndrome is my fav distributor. Got my my sale order yesterday, and there was a hand written not thanking me -- so cool. Not only love the movies they preserve, but love just the overall feel of their company.
Yes! Man you’re hittin ALL my favs with this one:) 🙌 And ‘Invincible’ by Pat Benatar from The Legend of Billie Jean is my favorite song of all time with Amazing Grace being my first! 😊
Thanks man! Runaway Train I could totally see - a little John Voight, Eric Roberts and Rebecca De Morney with no brakes? Lol I'm in! I don't think I've seen it in more than 20yrs at least! Time for a revisit
Here are my picks.1985's Enemy Mine, 1989's Red Scorpion, 1989's cyborg, 1990's class of 1999, 1990's lion heart, 1990's fire birds and 1992's trespass. I have more but I think these will do for now.
Demolition Man 100%. Most prophetic movie ever made, and it's another Joel Silver (Roadhouse) production. Great list! I would add Near Dark, Pump Up The Volume, Boogie Nights, Strange Days, and - totally dreamin' here - From Dusk Till Dawn.
every one of those are outstanding selections!!!!! I think Demolition Man would sell out in a few hours if they did it as a VSU an dI dont think it is an impossible one for them to get!
My top movies that need even just a Blu-ray release: 1. Blood Beach 2. Prom Night 2 3. Black Christmas (2006) 4. Midnight Hour 5. Nite Life 6. Maid to Order 7. Don't tell mom the Babysitter's Dead 8. Anguish 9. Murder by Phone 10. Blood Cult And could we please finally get that Nightmare on Elm Street box set? Come on
For everyone who has been asking, I got my custom Neon sign from CRAZY NEON - crazyneon.com/ and they did an amazing job! they are also on youtube at @crazyneonofficial www.youtube.com/@crazyneonofficial
Great choices! Legend of Billie Jean does have a bluray from Mill Creek, that was the artwork you showed, if you didn't know. Can confirm, no bluray for Iron Eagle or The Program...which is ridiculous from a football standpoint, as I recall, but still a lot of fun! Can't agree more about Crossroads. I didnt comment the last time you mentioned it but I watched it a lot growing up as a big rock fan and budding musician going back to discover the roots.
I played college football at the university of Georgia and The Program is very over the top- like an Oliver Stone movie lol but I love it!!! Crossroads seems like the absolute perfect VSU - it is tailor made for such a release!
@@AVAPopCulture that's great! I only played about 10 years, age 8 to the end of high school, then I had to face the sad truth that despite a decent amount of skill, I was a little too short, a little too slow and a little too light to really be effective at any position, lol. I just recently got a copy of The Program on dvd, haven't seen it in years, I might put it on later today. Crossroads I would absolutely pick up a VSU if we're ever so lucky!🍻
Gleaming The Cube is the shit!! Ive never seen The Wizard but that cover makes me want to rush out & blind buy. Ive never seen Iron Eagle but it's been referred to me a bunch. It's there a bunch of sequels too? Ive never seen Over The Top but based on your description it sound just like Real Steel. Demolition Man is my favorite! I just upgraded to the Blu-Ray a few weeks ago. NEED that on 4k!
Knowing what I know about your favorite tyoes of movies, I think You would love The Wizard and Over the Top!! I just picked up Over the Top on blu ray (had the dvd) on Amazon for like $12 I think... I am searching for the best available release of The Wizard... The fact that Demolition Man hasn't had a 4k is mind blowing- absolutely love that film! Iron Eagle is fantastic- imagine Top Gun but with teenagers coming of age story mixed in...
Some banger suggestions my brother! The Legend of Billie Jean I don’t think I’ve seen but need to now!! And my God…Demolition Man….YES! And it foreshadows the truth too…Taco Bell will be all that remains damnit…not Pizza Hut 🤣 I’ll be waiting and shouting you out when a few of these get VSU’s…hopefully! Obviously would depend on licensing and if VS can acquire rights or license rights but man…these suggestions would be great! Nice vid!
Thanks man! The legend of Billie Jean is for sure worth a watch! and Demolition Man was so damn prophetic LOL... but that Taco bell in the movie always pissed me off with those tiny pill sized portions of food hahaha... Id love to see some of these get VSUs...I have one more list of these then maybe VS will get to work haha
Have Southern Comfort sitting on my shelf going to watch with a friend who interested in it. Love to VS do restoration of Excalibur, The Duel and The Arcane Sorcerer .
. . Our movie taste is so close.I will add to your list, KRULL, Vanishing Point ('71), Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory ('71), North Shore, Equilibrium, Black Moon Rising, Turk 182, Death Race 2000, Altered States, The Warriors, My Bodyguard, Brainstorm, Dark City, The Thirteenth Floor and 9. I could go on and on, but these are amazing films that should get the best treatment. . You're going to want to talk to me eventually. . 🤪😎
I have to say Demolition Man would be awesome! Also missing it and need it in a VSU! My BIG Wish woukd be John Carpenters ”Big Trouble In Little Chiba” though. Others I sant: Night of the creeps Convoy Cannonball run Grand Theft Auto A Fish Called Wanda I coukd go on for days lol. VS are probably not bug enough to get those really big titles so often but we can hope!
Im hoping they give us one or 2 bigger VSU titles before the year is over - I feel like they need to have 1 or 2 films on the level of Roadhouse, Showgirls, and Texas Chainsaw 2 to kinda bump back up a little bit lol...Night of the Creeps is getting a 4k from Scream Factory soon!
@@allankostyk5035 very understandable! I got those OOP VSU releases and I have a select 3 or 4 OOP releases that I have or will pay a premium for but never again and not for everything...that is why I did the video on how FOMO or fear of missing out can actually be a good thing! If a release comes out and you think you may want it, Id say ORDER IT! don't wait and miss out or have to overpay later...much easier to pay $30-$45 now than miss out or have to pay 3 or 4 times that later!!

I still cant believe we have no HD release for the program, it is crazy!

Same here
100% agree with Gleaming the Cube!!! Vinegar Syndrome needs to make it happen!!! Great list!
Thanks! Yeah I can see Gleaming the Cube being big time VSU!
Yes! Man you’re hittin ALL my favs with this one:) 🙌 And ‘Invincible’ by Pat Benatar from The Legend of Billie Jean is my favorite song of all time with Amazing Grace being my first! 😊

I may have cyborg in my list for pt 2 of this but I could also see it as an Arrow box set!

Great list, brother. One I would really like to see in the VSU line would be the Rocketeer.
The rocketeer is Disney so ugh...who knows...that means now it is sony's to release but it would be a great looking vsu
I know it's a stretch, but a man can wish lol
@@bmg5015 LOL yep, same for me with the program, it falls under the disney umbrella
Fucking Disney
Toy Soldiers and Gleaming the Cube would be amazing! Would also love to see Rad get a VSU but I think someone else has the license
I think Vinegar Syndrome did a big release with RAD a while back with a slip cover etc and it goes for $200 or more on Ebay lol
@@AVAPopCulture I know I’ve seen it on eBay but didn’t know which label. I wonder if they’d ever consider re-releasing as part of the VSU line
I have to say Demolition Man would be awesome! Also missing it and need it in a VSU!

Night of the creeps
Convoy
Cannonball run
Grand Theft Auto
A Fish Called Wanda

For this year I think the perfect movie for a VSU is Street Fighter (1994). Another is Best Of the Best (1989)
I could see those for sure!, especially street fighter!
I need Gleaming The Cube! It doesn’t even have a blu ray.
I only have it on this ancient DVD lol
So sad I could not get my hands on Cloak and Dagger one.
You can get them on ebay but they will probably be $90-140 🫣
@AVAPopCulture I just won't pay that much for a movie.

Universal Soldier doesn't stand a chance for VSU as it already has a 4K.
I know it has the 4k but I just want a better release for it 😆
Oh and Denis Leary is the comedian
Lol I immediately thought of it as soon as I stopped recording 🤣😂 - total brain fart lol
