Anyone with a valid Dubai visa and Emirates ID can apply to get an E-Trader License. Regarding NOC I would assume it is up to the employment contract you have signed (I have not seen it as a requirement for obtaining the license). You can have an office but customers cannot visit your location and purchase items. You are only allowed to sell items through online sales channels. You can purchase products from anywhere. I got my license from al twar center there is a Dubai economy office you can get your e-commerce license there I paid 1200 I believe you will have the license after you provide all the needed info and it will take a day to activate your account and you’re good to go plus I got my license at 18 but I’m a uae national maybe different rules apply to non-nationals hope this was helpful

Hello Marr, it does not mean you cannot sell to other emirates, it just means you cannot operate out of that emirate. In your case I believe you have to apply for a license in Dubai since you have Dubai Visa.

but once you bought E-commerce license from free zone which will cost u around 5750/-AED u can use it in online sites like amazon, noon or ur website and can sell good anywhere in UAE. Not limited to 1 city

I understand as an individual merchant selling on Amazon I don’t need to show any license to Amazon UAE as its not a requirement by Amazon UAE when we sign up as an individual. But, I am concerned about the UAE laws which says in order to sell online the seller must obtain an e commerce license. So can you please tell me in order to start selling on Amazon UAE do I need an e commerce license or I am good without it? I made account as an individual and not as a company and my seller account is approved by Amazon UAE but I am hesitant to list any items because not clear about the law. Please help.

Hello Saleem, I am not aware of any impacts to work visas. But anyone with a valid Dubai UAE visa is eligible to apply for the e trader license.

You would need to get an import code from Dubai customs. You can also contact Dubai Customs for more information.
