Hanna's seven sons were Jews, not Christians. Jesus had not been born, yet. Jesus participated in the Hanukkah festival at Solomon's Porch, which commemorated the miracle of Hanukkah. Thank you for an excellent discourse on the historical and biblical events surrounding the miracle of Hanukkah and it's connection to Jesus.

A great presentation. One thing that must be said. That is, without the Hanukkah, the result of the resolution of Jewish resistance and the keeping of their faith, the pure Word of God, there would be no Christmas, the birth of Jesus, the first coming of the messiah. Imagine the Messiah being born in Bethlehem in a forced culture of Hellenism, the continued desecration of the temple, idols everywhere of Zeus and other gods of Greece, no Torah study, no kosher foods, no Sabbaths, Greeks letters instead of Hebrew letters. You see, God is still faithful with His chosen people, Israel, and that is the everlasting miracle today.

Yeshua HaMashiach (JESUS CHRIST) is the light of world on Hanukkah, the Jewish festival of lights, the Feast of Dedication. In the Gospel of John, he says "I am the light of the world, whoever follows me will never walk in darkness but shall have the light of life.

8 days of oil is a tradition of men? the first book of maccabees doesn't mention 8 days of oil, it says it took 8 days to cleanse and rededicate the temple. Yes sir, the real miracle was how God preserved His people. He always has a faithful remnant even to this day, during the tribulation and to the end.
I pray that I will be part of the remnant of God.

PLEASE do not blend Hanukkah with Christmas. Hanukkah points to Yeshua. Christmas is a slap in his face. Read Jeremiah 10, which tells us NOT to practice the ways of the way the nations and worship Yehovah the same way they worship their gods. Jeremiah is just an example which says DO NOT CUT DOWN A TREE AND DECORATE IT WITH SILVER AND GOLD.

Hanukkah is actually a beautiful picture of GOD & using men willing to stand for the truth of GOD to overcome evil! Not just the evil that sought to annihilate them, but even fighting against jews who were willing to sell out for the worldly trends! BUT GOD!💪❤️ The oil lasting 8 days reminds us of GOD'S Provisions /YEHOVAH YIREH in the face of adversity!

hanukkah was not one of the [7] feasts which God gave Moses for Israel to celebrate - Leviticus 23!!! the festival was not given by God but maybe a festival given by Lucifer because He was jealous of the God given festivals. these [7] festivals are types for jesus!!!!

In my research I have noticed that Chanukkah foreshadows the fulfillment of the rise of the Abomination of Desolation. . As Purim foreshadows the Bride purifying herself for her wedding to the King. . N celebration of the Supper of the Lamb n beginning of the Eternal Kingdom

I have to disagree that Hanukkah is the oldest festival that Christians ! The oldest of God's Holidays and Festivals, that God commanded His people to observe, is Passover! Which observes the Blood that they claim they are covered. Instead the modern Christians dedicate their children to the Roman god Athena ( Ishtar the goddess of prostitution ), with their Easter Egg Hunt ( Ishtar's futility right )! Christianity is Hebrew!
God forbid the intake of nightshades, which potatoes are part of, the other s are tomatoes, peppers, and eggplant.
