We've stayed in Gloria Izaro Hotel. A lovely hotel. Really friendly and comfortable vibe. Great location, stop on the hill for a drink to break up the journey!!!
Great vlog as usual Kevin, we have always wanted to try Puerto del Carmen as we always go to tenerife. The only problem I can see is the hotels seem to be in very hilly areas. Hopefully there some on the flat near the strip.
There is hotels on flat ,vik san Antonio, las costas ,club del carmen ,las vezquelez, lani suites ,Barcelona ,rocas blancas, fauna, la penita has a few steps only and more 👍👍
Can’t wait to try Lanzarote in January, being really put off Tenerife due to all the crime, we will always go back but not as much, waiting to see how we get on in Puerto del Carmen x
We stayed at the Gloria Izaro in July/Aug and we really rate it! Our room was right at the pool, great size, modern and aircon! We didn't mind the walk at all - we have a room tour of it on our page! ☀️
Personally I feel the accommodation up that end to be too far out. I do like to pay a visit to The Highlander Too in the Montana Tropical centre which is up that way but I always taxi it😂😂
Hi Kevin We stayed at the Izaro in February last year. The apartments were good and had air conditioning. The restaurant was excellent. We stayed B&B but had our evening meal at least twice in the hotel. This hotel is a sister hotel to the three excellent hotels in Gran Canaria - The Gloria Palace Amedores, The Gloria Palace Royal, and the Gloria Palace San Agustin, albeit the Izaro is only an aparthotel not a full major hotel as those in GC. The restaurant was buffet style with plenty of choice and of excellent quality. The only downside was that the pool wasn't heated. The location is quiet but as you say it is at the top of the hill. The walk isn't as steep if you go through the open shopping centre with the big Christmas tree that you featured on your next video. It brings you out half way up the hill that leads up to the hotel from the old town. I managed it and I'm over 60 and have had a knee replacement!! Good videos👍 👍
No aircon in the rooms, however value for money I don’t think it can be beaten. Walk to PDC and taxi back up. Visiting Aparthotel Fariones Playa shortly and can’t wait. Btw videos are really addictive! Well done!
Blue sea los fiscos is up there and along the the left I think ,that's where I'm going in Dec 6th I don't mind walking kevin I've got a fitbit watch 😅😅
Used to stay 2 times a year at Gloria Izaro, but as i have got a bit older i found the hill a bit of a trial. Its a shame as its a lovely hotel. Very clean and comfortable. It does have air con in the lounge but not in the bedrooms, but never found it an issue just leave bedroom door open. Its B and B or half board. Staff are great, go the extra mile. swimming pool is Baltic !
Our daughters apartment is only a 10 minute walk away from where you are to the right of where you are in the Portonovo apartments just behind the Flora Hotel. She changes only 340 euros a week all year.
I stayed in the los fiscos hotel which is past the flora and left ,would not go back due to location kevin and the local kids school is across from the is ley mar hotel cheers
You’re right Kev a good walk even downhill! Definitely better locations at a similar price or less, not the cheapest plus taxis it’s one I’ve ruled out already others may prefer the peace and the obvious views 🤗

I stayed there myself and l promised myself every night never again walk back. But every night l did it, not one taxi used 🚕 😁
Hi when we where there we also eat in a place called el burro not to far from the flora and the food was very good and not.to expensive 😀 😜 😉
