And though our friends and family may not see the way forward to the calling God has given us, we must take responsibility for it and trust God in the process. God always gives a calling that is bigger than us and at the same time, He is always the one that makes us fit for it.

I’ve thought about this a lot.
While I understand what you are saying
It must be said that the earliest hero myths and stories are mostly allegories of Jesus.
This is why the story of King Arthur and the knights of the round table were searching for the cup of Christ.
messiah even translates to savior
The modern Hollywood version of a “hero” is a bastardization, even an inversion of its original.
