Picking up this exact combo tomorrow. Sold my R6 to come back to Sony. The R6 has been a great camera but I miss the lens availability on the Sony system....and I just love Sony!

As a Canon R6 shooter
Sony A7 IV is a dope camera just like ALL the camera manufactory out there today

You're definitely right that all these cameras are tools, but some just work better then others. In my personal experience I definitely would choose this camera (A7IV) over the R6 any-day.

The Lens thing is my hang up man. I ashamed to say I’m still using a 6D Mark II. Been wanting to upgrade and possibly move over to Sony. But I have a a few canon lenses. I guess I could always sell them. 🤷🏽‍♂️
Like you said… I feel like I’d go for the A7s III just to prevent buyer’s remorse. But this looks like a solid camera.

Jason my dude! Listen, I totally get it man. I would say that if you have any photography needs at all then this is a better overall camera then the A7SIII or FX3. Just know that if you move over to Sony just be prepared to pay 5-10% more for all Sony branded lenses. That sucks but the performance is excellent!

Would you recommend the 24-105 f4, or the 24-70 f2.8?

It really depends on how you shoot. For me if I only had one that I could buy it would definitely be the 24-105. It is sharp, great at autofocus, and is half the price so yeah I really like what I'm seeing.

I tested the camera today, beautiful images- I don’t care for the feel of it. It feels so cheap to me. What are your thoughts?

I love it. I know that it is not the top of the line Sony but I feel that it is still build well.

That’s my gripe with it, when you hold the a1 and the a7siii it feels premium. A7iv feels so plasticky and the evf sucks too
