I've been binge watching WWPV starting from season one all weekend. Thanks for having these here, it brings back memories of watching it after school when I was growing up
@armzbrah6371 Aye, you got that right. It was a pretty crazy idea, in my opinion, but it was crazy enough to work. Reckon other police departments might take a crack at it?
I’ve always assumed the twenty people caught in the sting were linked in some manner. Something like Ocean’s Eleven except boring and/or depressing. :D
World hostage situations are much worse than is in America. A child in Brazil coming home from school didn't know that a burglar was inside and was in the wrong place at the wrong time was bad enough. And then a bank robbery holding a businessman's daughter hostage is even worse. And a tour bus hostage situation is even much worse. Especially in Russia, for the injured hostages in Dagestan, these takers got their brutal punishment the hard way. And they suffered big time on it.
All hostage situations are bad. It doesn't matter where it's at, and there's been PLENTY in the US that were terrible. Although now there aren't as many hostage situations because the US is just allowing people to go loot businesses so the looters don't need to grab someone as a hostage. Most of the hostage situations in the US are kept quiet or kept within the state it happened in.
Not to mention: to quote Bunnell himself, “Obviously, police brutality is an issue that has not yet been brought up in Russia.” (This was said over a caviar smuggling ring bust.)
37:07 Yeah, that teenage man was allowed to have numerous chases and driving offenses, and only after he killed someone was he finally punished severely. Our criminal justice system is a joke!
I was thinking the exact same thing. When they mentioned the kid already had several high speed chases under his belt my first thought was "And why haven't his previous punishments been harsher then?"
Most of the criminals in this show have completed their sentences and are now free. Some people like that 18-year-old driver are not so lucky. With a 60-year sentence for endangering the lives of others and murder, he's still behind bars to this day.

@7:00 this one of my favorite chase/car wrecks from this whole series. My other favorites since the subject is out... The guy in an S10 with a stolen lawn tractor gets T boned b y an 18 wheeler at like 50 miles an hour crossing an intersection, the 80s corvette flying down the highway at over 120 MPH and loses it and the guy in a small car doing over 100 goes thru an intersection and hits a white Jeep wrangler and a mini van. Stupid people are the excitement for those of us who do the right thing and don't cause trouble.
33:48 Well.......actually.......she would have survived without any injuries, and also gotten away from the police if she stayed in the truck........to say she jumped out to save her life is just a completely ridiculous statement.....it in fact was her risking her life jumping out.......we all know that guy got away.........I'm starting to get annoyed with the narrator.....he just constantly tries making everything seem like a bigger deal than it is, or making ridiculous statements to make the police sound like gods.......how about being honest, genuine, and realistic? Everything about this dude is way too extra.......stupid people probably just agree with whatever he says, but the thinking man cam't help but recognize how ridiculous he is.....
idk why people think they can get away from the police like they have more resources then u so just dont do it, if your honest with a cop more often then not they will let you go with a warning or a ticket
Brah she probably didn't know, show some sympathy was the other girl that was criticality injured arrested I heard she made a full recovery & didn't get arrested.
When I was five years old I would not have participated in this crap just because G I don’t know it’s called common sense and yet you’re watching grown men well yeah supposedly and women hey let’s go bounce around on a truck and try to light it on fire cause you knowwe’re honky-tonk and we wanna have a good time

41:57 - The story of hostage Charles Morgan also aired on Cops.
12:27 ........" Well there's your demonstration" 🤷🏾♂️🤷🏾♂️. 😅😅
The clip from Columbia, SC... Wasn't that also shown on Real Stories/Heroes of the Highway Patrol as well?
Yes it was. RIP Rochelle Ashmore. Loleta Boulware was in ICU for about a month or two. She survived but was never the same.
LOL the cops setting up the fake Hawaiian trip sting is pure genius

@@liammcdonough6832nah. There's no way that truck will work twice. It's amazing that it worked once!
@flickcentergaming68010 You forget, the reason it worked is because of the one thing criminals always have: greed.

Grew up on this show it’s like 80 years old 😅
Yes, I've seen this episode before, too
That makes you 🤔 103 yrs old.
Lol😂
I remember this too in the late 90's I was a teenager 😅
My 2004 2005 Spike TV days I will cherish till the day I die
when the so-called pimp got hit with that little girl tap and he went out was the funniest ever
And then the guy turned to the camera and shrugged. 😂
