Nice looking decoy but Big Al’s needs to add flocking imo. I have dive bombs both flock head and fully flocked. They just have more pop/easier to see especially the fully flocked which I feel is important.

From my experience with flocked vs none flock decoys is it honestly don't really matter. Aslong as you are on the x or close to the x either or works very well

@@moss6984 that’s probably true but as I get up there in years and so limited time 95% of my goose hunting is hunting traffic out of my own goose pit. When you put the all flocked against the non flocked there’s a lot more pop and more easily seen from a distance.

Traffic geese I can get that! Running traffic I found can be a real hit or miss type hunt. You ever try flat black decoys?

@@moss6984 I’ve tried almost everything. I’ve been hunting honkers/giants for well over 40 years now. When I first started G&H shells were tops then Big Foots which I hunted with for many years and still have some. Outlaws were the only silo at the time but they shined too much. Now I run DSD full bodies for my small spread and big spread I’ll usually run the Dive bombs. I’m not entirely sure I like mixing them together. I mix in movers in both. Higdon feeders and Lucky goose flaggers when there’s little to no wind. I also run a big flag on about a 12’ pole. But just when I think I’ve got the geese figured out they throw me a curve. But like you mentioned hunting the X is the most productive. Back when my group was young running and hunting where the geese we’re feeding we’d often shoot 200-300 geese a year.

I have every brand of silhouettes on the market. Big Al’s are the best. I personally do not like flocking on any decoys cause the frost and snow stick to it like crazy. GHG silos are horrible for shine. FA aren’t much better. Real geese, Big Al’s have almost no glare at all.The tangle free ones I have are full flocked. Look great no shine until there’s frost or snow. Then they look like shiny snow geese.
