    Lasfit makes leds for turn signals with out the hyper flash maybe you can look into those and do the turn signals next with those LEDs!?

    How long did they last now that is 4 years later?

    So much nicer versus stock on many cars even new. Often the factory lighs really only function signal to others your in reverse and provides light that's far inadequate to spot objects, children animals etc.. However there so dim that many times doesn't even get attention.

    Hello, I have a question. How did you install Fog lights in your 2008 Honda Odyssey? Sorry for it being off topic.

    • @dial2fast
      @dial2fast  5 лет назад +1

      That was an aftermarket fog set which I installed using the relay harness that came with the kit. I replaced the aftermarket switch with an OEM Honda fog switch which I modified the wiring to work with the aftermarket relay harness. The fog light itself installed into the factory location just like OEM ones. Just like this one: amzn.to/2NInTwq

    I will be using these LUYED bulbs for Reverse / Back-up ONLY, (no turn signals etc) on my 2015 Honda CR-V. Do I also need Load Resistors / Equalizers in reverse-only use, or not?

    • @dial2fast
      @dial2fast  3 года назад +1

      Don't need load resistors for backup light.

      Have you been happy with the durability of these Luyed LEDs? If yes, I will order through your link.

      @@dial2fast Also, I see you did not wear gloves when installing these.
      Are the recommendations to wear gloves (to prevent skin oils transfer which can apparently heat up and burn out the bulb) when handling LED bulbs not true?

    • @dial2fast
      @dial2fast  3 года назад +1

      @@venessian8579 The clean hand thing is only for halogen light bulb as it's made of glass. LED don't have any glass to blow but you should still have clean hands when replacing any light bulbs.

      Hope not there's some oil dilution issues with those. It'll only be worse when more vehicles get some years on them without a fix. Warranty was extended though it's "extremely rare and only in extreme cold". Consider that for most auto manufacturers city driving is extreme by their descriptions of what those conditions are. This also isn't exclusive to Honda but creeping up on gdi vehicles in general.

    Sir, I’m trying to install front and rear LED turn signal for a car, which requires 7440 LED type. I’m wondering how many LED load resistor will I need to install since the car supports halogen bulb from factory...

    • @dial2fast
      @dial2fast  5 лет назад +3

      Typically the car's flasher relay is tied to both front and rear turn signal (since front and rear flash at the same rate). Therefore, you should only need to install either 2 load resistors at the front OR 2 at the rear. Usually front have more space for the load resistors.

      dial2fast I really appreciate your quick and generous response sir. You are the first RUclipsr who actually answered my question. Your videos are really helpful for my DIY projects. Do you have suggestion mounting the load resistor? Im thinking about to zip tie the aluminum load resistor...

    • @dial2fast
      @dial2fast  5 лет назад +2

      The load resistor with the heatsink does get very hot when in use but it's designed to operate at a very high temp on its own. The only reason you want to screw it onto a metal surface on the car is so it won't touch any other plastic parts our wires that might melt it. Also it does help dissipate the heat. If there is no metal surface nearby, then secure it in a place away from other wires. You can zip tie the wiring to secure it.

      dial2fast Won’t the tie wraps or zip ties melt by load resistor gold body sir?

    Dial2fast in Virginia almost all of these LED light swaps headlights, tail, license will fall state inspection because these cheap Chinese lights are not USA DOT approved! I know many viewers don’t have to worry picky state inspectors but if you could review more DOT approved lights. That would save me time & effort to swap out all my lites before inspection to pass & get my sticker. I am so angry I am not putting the cheap LED lights back in. To tell if DOT approved must be stamped on bulb not just fake packaging. Thanks for your reviews
