My fav Chinese vegetable dish is fried noodles with bean sprouts, with a little seasoning and oyster sauce. So simple, but must be served HOT! I just love the tender noodle and veg crunch combination, really does work for me. Quick to prepare and easy to eat in a bowl with chopsticks. Now I'm getting hungry thinking about it!
Variants of this are cooked all over the world. It works. For me a great dish that can be served as a main dish with pure plain boiled rice. Total yummy.
Hahah... possibly fusion, definitely bellissimo! Actually doesn't sound weird at all! We see this dish quite a lot as a vegetable side around here, and we love it! You did it up perfectly Michael! Excellent recipe!
Mille Grazie Susan! Yeah definitely a regular dish on our dinner table. I guess some people still think oyster sauce is weird though, if they haven't tried it. Hope you're doing well 😀
Much better with this dish is to add the oyster sauce together with the water otherwise your just putting cold raw oyster sauce from the bottle on to a hot dish of broccoli. Never seen cold oyster sauce out in a dish at the end of cooking. Anyway, that said, we’ll don’t for another dish for people to try.
Thanks buddy. I see where you’re coming from and definitely your way works. But in my family we’ve always used it like this on broccoli - almost like a condiment. When making an oyster sauce based dish I’d definitely add it to the wok though. Hope you’re well my friend 😊
Ingredients like broccoli are actually really good. We just have to stop serving them up with dollops of bland 😅 Garlic, ginger and oyster sauce always makes things better 😊
Possibly my favourite veggie side dish and so easy to convert into a full main dish. What's your favourite vegetable dish done Chinese style? 😊

I totally agree - especially the boiled rice part. Thanks for your comment 😊👍

I have oyster AND soy sauce. Just need the broccoli!!!
It works with a lot of veggies - mushrooms, peppers, zucchini anything that can stir fry really 😊
This is what I go on about, the boring-est of foods with a bit of Asian know how suddenly becomes an amazing meal.
