Not sure if Guy will be popping up in that too or not, but there's gonna be at least three Green Lanterns of Earth appearing within the first handful live-action DCU projects. So far nothing greenlit for Batman yet unless he's in the Clayface movie that just went into pre-production, but stuff's being written. I for one don't want to see Superman primarily fighting aliens in an introductory movie. He's the alien. Throwing an alien invasion in there would muddy the metanarrative. Save Brainiac or whatever for a sequel, I say. Getting Lex right for starters is important. He's the most powerful when the public hasn't fully come to trust Superman yet, because he can manipulate the public consciousness. Once everyone has accepted Superman, Lex has more of a disadvantage. He's the perfect movie 1 villain if done right, because he can challenge Superman in ways that aren't physical (and honestly...a purely physical challenge is the most boring thing you can throw at someone that physically powerful; it's better to challenge what he stands for and force him to prove himself).
Looney if you're getting into the DCU you should know that it's first project is out right now! Creature Commandos on Max. Episode 4 dropped today. Pretty good adult animated series

In some small way, I hope James Gunn does something similar to you. Glad you enjoyed it. Not gonna lie. Been a fan since he joined the JSA in 2003 or so. I'm positively giddy. If I remember rightly, he's the 3rd smartest human on the DC earth.

Love that Gunn didn't play the douche game of going out and hiring some big name cameo to play Jonathan Kent that was so expensive he had to be killed off in one of the first scenes. The casting looks amazing.

I watched this earlier and it gave me chills, even though I did feel like there was too many characters. The kaiju made no sense to me. As a kid I loved the original superman movies. Christopher Reeves will always be superman to me. And that was my introduction to Richard Pryor. Superman Returns is my least favourite version. I did enjoy Henry Cavill as superman but the movies didn’t quite match my hopes and expectations although the special effects were outstanding compared to the originals.
