Why does it take from 2017 to 2040 (23 years) to put this plan into action?

I love the development plan ! Especially the underground parking and little park on top of it. I believe there is room for improvement and a water fountain would be a great addition 😉

No matter all the efforts and money to improve our beloved town, if we still continue drowning in litter.

Where are the immigrants going to live?

They are doing this because of the immigrants. Statistics have shown portlaoise has over well over it's population to call it small town. They are short staffed in an Post the mail will continue with delays until this is underway. They will of course build up more housing. The funding has already been put towards this. There will be downsides like rent going up and entrepreneurs and small businesses unable to compete with big business. Unfortunately nothing we can do about it.

@@Daisy-ct3nh yeah Fine Gael are pretty much gone after Varadeker offering that ISIS bride her citizenship back. I was saying they already paid for this. If they were reoping the rural post offices they shut down I'd be for that it was stupid to close them and has delayed the mail. I think irexit party said added that to one of the things they would do. But they aren't running against Fine Gael in the elections when now is the perfect time.

They're building brand new houses just about anywhere that is currently just an area with a big patch of grass. Times are changing
