Like a lot of people have pointed out, Gregor doesn’t like being alone cause despite being introverted, he like all humans, inherently desires companionship, more than any of the other sinners because he is *the outcast* and losing people close to him hurts him the most because he is in the top 3 if not top 1 most empathetic and emotional Sinners, he’s a genuinely caring person who loves those around him and would hate to lose them. Especially considering he’s a Smoke War Vet and death has become an innate trauma.
I would actually contest the thought that Gregor's got trauma from war itself. It's been pretty hammered down that Gregor's issue was not the terror of the frontlines itself, but the persistent expectations of others he never asked for and ambition of his mother placed on him, squashing him into ground. And the bottom feeder status he believes he wears is resut of failing those expectations.
@ I’d argue it’s both, the manifestation of Tomah is Gregor’s innate distaste for the thought of losing people close to him, Tomah’s repeated death on reply torments him because either A.) He himself is scared at the thought of being in Tomah’s place one day or B.) The thought of someone so young and innocent especially someone who looked up to him dying like a dog scars him deeply, more inclined to side with B because Gregor is very self sacrificing and empathetic towards others, I think the whammy for Gregor is that it’s sadly both, he’s scared of losing others and scared of high expectations, that’s hilariously unfortunate given his line of work where both constantly happen.
@@FizzyPopVevo Doesn't Tomah not survive until the last loop? It starts as just a fellow soldier asking Gregor why is he not in the frontline. On the second, there's significantly more pressure in what Tomah says, obscenely emphasising that Gregor HAS to be in frontline, cause he's everyone's hope because Hermann herself operated on him. It's only in the last loop where Tomah gets crushed - under, how symbollically, Hermann's palm. As easy as it would be to make Gregor's story about it, there's absolutely nothing in the whole memory that says anything about the trauma of the war, save for singular event in the MD where you can grant mercy to a fallen soldier. His entire gripe is the same as the reason Kafka wrote the book - bitterness and burden on his mind from having to carry his parent's ambitions and crushing expectations, feeling like a parasite when not accomplishing any. Crawling to comfort zone like a roach, albeit deep inside really dreaming about not being seen as such.
this mod is awesome, albeit i have to say that the sinner armors not having durability is THE most broken part. I believe they will balance things when all sinners are out.
How the Sinners would survive alone (with a bit of canon)(pre-canto) Dante - 50% chance to survive. Smart enough. Yi Sang - 75% survival. Potato farming, intelligence, and would stay decently sane. Faust - 85% survival. She’s very smart, would rarely flinch at any threat, and is a walking encyclopedia. She knows what to do. Don Quixote - 15% survival. Her lance could easily keep some distance between her and her foes, but that’s about it. She’s dumb as nails and would likely try to keep the spiders as pets before realizing they’re trying to eat her alive, and can’t cook. Ryoshu - 95% survival. An island full of unwitting beings to make “art” out of? That’s a dream come true for Ryoshu! Would survive through any way. Meursault - 100% survival. I don’t need to say anything. Hong Lu - 33% survival. He’s got a weapon with some range to it like Don, but he’s also not too smart and is way too acclimated to a wealthy environment, and is very likely unprepared for survival. Heathcliff - 55% survival. The Berserker of the Backstreets might not be the brightest, but he’s a resilient and strong fighter who’d very likely tear through hordes of enemies without needing much rest. However, his temper may be his downfall, as he might pick a fight too much for him to handle alone. Ishmael - 85% survival. Endured many a storm, has some bravery, isn’t stupid. Naturally resourceful and knows to scrap with her shield and mace. Rodion - 75% survival. Survived on the Backstreets, and she even has an axe to chop down trees for a shelter. Pretty likely to live. Sinclair: 25% survival. He also has a weapon long enough to stay a decent way away from fights, but would see a spider and run. However, while he’s easily scared, he could likely escape from enemies and find a place to hide away. Outis - 90% survival. A tough veteran who’s likely seen worse than some spiders, coming complete with some good cooking skills and some survival skills. Gregor - 50% survival. Unlucky number thirteen! Not all unlucky, as he can easily get wood with his arm-blade and is also acclimated to a chaotic environment, but his lack of a hand and dreadful cooking might just end his journey quicker than Aya’s death. Bonus! Vergilius - 100% survival. Come on! He’s a Color Fixer! The Red Gaze! Doesn’t even take damage when he’s used in combat! Think he would just die? Think again! Charon - Unknown. Her combat skills, her past knowledge, any survival instinct, we hardly know anything about her. It’s far too early to gauge how she’d fare.
Rodya would be proficient with the Axe, probably can hustle when trading and selling for better items but is picky when eating (She can eat any food except for raw ones which can lower her sanity)
