i just cut down a big rotted tree, cut the limbs and stack them all in the same direction for loading in my ford f600 dump, easy unloading. love my root grapple either on the kabota mx 5000 or massey 5455. also i use it to comb the wife's hair now and then!

Yeah it's getting really close but I might pull a couple more stump that I missed and run the grapple a few more times just to make it nice but that power rakes going to be awesome can't wait. Thanks
Thank you. We have mostly clay here, but in the lower area's we do have some half way decent dirt, but still low quality compared to the midwest 'black dirt' standard.

How do you feel About the open back of the grapple. I’ve heard people complain that they’ve had branches stab through their tracks because the grapple isn’t plated in front of the tracks.
I have just a couple more stumps to pull and I'm going to run the grapple once or twice more and then it should work incredible on that dirt. Thanks and stay tuned have a good weekend
I just rented one for a week but generally I am disappointed in the T70 bobcat and the way the hydraulic hoses were routed on the grapple. I ended up only using the grapple for less than a day before I lost a rigid line. As rented, one of the the quick disconnect connectors on it was damaged (not leaking yet) but it did not last with the use.... My biggest gripe is with the tracks. I lost them total of 4 times in 5 days of use. Had to get the crane and technician to get it back 3 times. Once I got lucky and managed to snap it back in place. There was no harsh driving or abuse. Ground was super dry and prefect for this type of work. Anyone has any insight of what could have gone wrong???

What is the price point of the CTL you have in this video? I was pretty set on a NX cab tractor but after seeing numerous videos, yours included, I am now leaning towards CTL. Also would love to know if you can disable the backup beeper (without disconnecting or cutting wires)

Joe, what kind of thoughts went into your decision on this model? Was it purely cost? Or maybe size, weight, fitting on your trailer, attachements etc? I know there are bigger models... sould one of those work better? Just wondering about the thought processes.
I'm going to be demoing a huge Mulcher unit so all of the big stuff is going to be turned into wood chips. The smaller slash piles I leave for the Wildlife and quail. Thanks
There are tons of different grapples out there, and this one was a 'tractor' version of Heavy duty and has held up well so far. Whatever you do I suggest to get a heavy duty model if you are going to use it hard. I've learned the hard way, I never get anything 'regular' duty, or 'medium' duty as far as equipment goes. And it has served me well since I started doing that, not much has broken since them. Best of luck, the grapple is a fantastic tool for tree removal and brush!
I'm learning from your videos that things just aren't that simple are they? Even with all kinds of expensive equipment and fancy attachments. Nothing's easy is it??

I vote the power rake. Just the way it is. I hear it makes quick work of stuff just like. That is my next purchase for the skid steer.

Here in northern Arkansas, we call that a rock grapple. Very envious of that dirt you have there! People here pay $360 a dump truck load for that.

yes I would agree, you do catch a lot of debris to the tracks And the hydraulic lines. Almost ripped those off many times!

How well can you go into a mesh of bull briars and pull them out as opposed to a clam style root grapple?
