Totally off topic, but the minute you said Oo-lee, I realized my 50 yr error... So TIL that my whole home region (more than the town or county) has been mispronouncing the Danish version of Ole (vs the swedish and the norwegian versions, which we say Oh-lee) and not a one of them ever said a word. It used to be a very, very common name in the middle far north usa. Lol but I guess those Ole & Lena jokes don't apply to them then! (yes, once upon a time, there were racist jokes about Scandinavians, but it's because they were recent immigrants, which isn't cool, but clarifying that it's not a weird "too white for the whites" thing)

Cassandra, I would LOVE to see a video of you working on someones else's skin with professional treatments!!! It would be so fun to watch you work, while you educate us on some of the techniques and services that are available when you go to a pro.
I have been intimidated to try different procedures and treatments at the MedSpa because the choices are so overwhelming. I only see an Esti for my brows and lashes, and the occasional lazer to zap broken blood vessels. I would love to see how you work, especially with products and services for us with more sensitive or reactive skin types, as well as acne treatments.

I’m not Cassandra, but I highly recommend chemical peels and microneedling treatments. They did wonders on my acne-prone, scarred skin. Also, both make the skin super glowy (though chemical peels do that slightly better).

As someone who became an esthetician because I was spending my whole paycheck on $200 facials and $100 cleansers and serums that didn’t do shiz I respect anyone giving HONEST advice to struggling clients. You should never scam somebody into a routine you don’t think is ideal and attainable financially or otherwise. As a service provider you have an ethical obligation to do right by your clients and not just be a salesman
That’s why everyone has their guard up when they’re being sold home care

The health industry in the US is extremely cruel.
I have a lot of moles and in Europe it's a lot different. My dermatologist in Croatia would give me thorough exams and even had a computer picture database of potentially dangerous moles to track changes over time.
I've been living in LA for 3 years and at Kaiser they barely even look at me when I go for a check up.

I have had less flares since I have been using it. I have literally tried everything, and this is the best so far. I recommend it to my friend with severe eczema and her face is clearing up. I also have noticed my skin looks so healthy since I have been using it as well.

Eminence has really intrigued me a lot. Their prices aren't too prestige-priced as in $100+ USD/product and they do have very interesting botanical formulations. A lot don't contain the standard essential oils you'll see in another organic line and they contain known antioxidants like Q10, ALA, and beneficial fruit+plant extracts. I hope more influencers into natural beauty talk more about it!

I use this peptide moisturizer as well! I quite like it but it’s interesting to me that you find it amazing for your oily skin. I’m oily/combo and I find it a bit much… I only use it at night and a tiny amount over my prescription retinol. I love the ingredients and the experience but I almost wish this came in like a lotion formula! I have such a hard time to find a night moisturizer that is heavy enough but not too much. When my moisturizer gets too much I get these really painful whiteheads around my nose and chin and they feel as if someone is stabbing me with hot needles. Skinfix was the worst for that I had to give it away.

That's so funny that this is the first time that you aren't using The Ordinary; where I'm the opposite right now. I started loving The Ordinary and Good Molecules then found k-beauty but have gravitated back to The Ordinary and Good Molecules while loving k-beauty for cleansers, toners/essences, and moisturizers.

I completely agree. I have switched to expensive skincare products in the past, but I’ve always gone back to The Ordinary, Good Molecules, and K beauty products like CosRx, because they do the same thing as those high end products, for much much less money, and great ingredients

Cassandra, have you seen the Face Gym microneedling device? I’d love to hear your thoughts on it. I’ve only ever had microneedling done in a derm’s office and would never use the traditional at-home microneedling devices because of sanitation and safety concerns. However, this Face Gym device comes with sterile needs and serum ampules, which makes me curious if this could be an actually safe and effective at-home microneedling treatment. I’d love to get microneedling done again, but it’s incredibly expensive, so it’d be nice to do it from home but ONLY if it was actually safe to do so.

I use the ISclinical cleansing gel as my conducting gel, that way I can cleanse and use a treatment in one step. Everyone seems to distinctly prefer conducting gels though and I wonder if I am short changing myself. It seems to work well and I have not had any issues with it. The cleansing gel has plenty of slip.

The way that you're saying how you teach the teenagers is exactly what you did with me except for I was an adult who wasn't really into skincare I would use body lotion on my face yeah I use the same size apricot scrub so I did a lot of bad things to my skin because I didn't know better but since I watched your channel in the past 2 years I have learned so much I have a very good skin care routine works great on my face I even have like an expensive skin care routine and if I can't afford that one I have an alternative usually elf skin care when I'm a little more strapped for money I can tell the difference it's not always about the price of something but I can tell my skin looks better when I spend more on my It Cosmetics confidence line I absolutely love it although they just redid it and I wish they wouldn't try to fix what's not broken they basically redid almost all of their skin care products resempt them and changed up the formula and I don't really like the new stuff but nothing I can do about that now I'm just rambling anyhow I just wanted to tell you thank you I love my skin and that is because I listened and learned turned and learned and read my stuff and because you taught me so much thank you for the knowledge that you've given me I am forever grateful

Any recommendations for a good moisturiser? I have acne prone sensitive skin that is oily/combination. Now that it’s colder my skin has gone drier. I’ve tried the Dermalogica Smoothing moisturiser which wasn’t hydrating enough. Currently using La Roche Posay which is good but is very light. I need more hydration lol

I have acne prone sensitive skin, and one of her suggestions that was really nice, light, and didn't break me out was surprisingly Glow Recipe's watermelon moisturizer (not the night time treatment, but the one in the tall bottle). It has AHA and BHA which are good actives for sensitive acne-prone skin. And of course you also want to look at your cleansers first, like soap bars leave "soap scum". She had really good Korean foaming cleansers she said would be good for acne prone in her recent video that was entitled something along the lines of "Good Korean Products For Sensitive Skin".

    • @whoevencares2109
      @whoevencares2109 Год назад

Cont. I also suffer from oily/combo sensitive and plant extracts and fragrances can be hit or miss, but I have found a few products over time that contain small amounts where my skin likes it. Aloe vera is one of those ingredients that has a great reaction even in the majority of people with oily, acne prone, and sensitive prone skin. While it has been discontinued recently, I use Clean&Clear's Aloe Vera Foaming Cleanser on my body. You can still order it on Amazon for the time-being. Cassandra also has really good suggestions on bodywashes under a video that was entitled something like "How I Finally Got My Acne Under Control". She bounced around what she had suggested for bodywashes, but she had one video posted in the past 5 months that I would highly recommend finding in her videos and watching. She finally seemed to have found a bodywash where she could see a difference in her bodyacne even though she had it under control everywhere else.

Hiiii. I recently found you on Facebook and I've been addicted to your reactions to celebrities. I so want to try Ole Henriksen because I have extremely dry skin that often flakes. Weirdly, it's been happening around my ears as well as my nose and forehead. Is there a more budget friendly version of this moisturizer? I definitely would like to work toward getting Ole Henriksen or maybe getting a sample before paying that much, but I would love your input.

Idk if it transfers over, but when we taught our high schoolers how to ultrasound a pregnant sheep, we would use Vaseline or petroleum jelly in place of ultrasound gel. So I'm curious if that qould work for the microcurrent devices and double as a type of slugging step since you would already have the occlusive medium on your face from the treatment. 🤔
