Grubby: leaves a lone tarantula in a face to face battle vs hacker for 5 ROUNDS without buying just a single unit of crawlers to difuse hack. Also Grubby: How could this happen ? TnT
It's incredible to see how you think and how much the little mobilization beacons you use actually do for you. Fun fact, those anti-missile turrets that cost 100 each can actually survive a loss, so long as they aren't killed by opposing side units. With an aggressive unit composition or putting the anti-missile turrets way back, they can survive multiple lost rounds by just losing all your units before the enemy has a chance to kill them.
@@dougler500their range is fairly large, that they can still be shooting missiles the entire time, while still being targeted last. Line up the engagement line of your troops and theirs to be near the edge of the range of the turrets and as long as you don’t have huge range damage dealers all your troops can die, thus ending the round, before the enemy takes out the turrets. I might not be explaining this well, it’s kinda complicated haha
Have you tried Legion TD 2 Grubby? Great game and it has similar elements to Mechabellum. You hooked me into Mechabellum after enjoying your Elden Ring content, can't wait to watch more 😎
29:30 yeah both Overwatch 1 and Classic WC3 are just gone from Battlenet, even on Xbox Overwatch 1 just flat out got replaced with Overwatch 2 like one day I had OW1 and the next I see OW2 I never installed it, nor did I want to play it but if I wanted to play Overwatch I'd be forced to play 2, so we didn't even get the choice of picking which game we play, and with WC3, it got replaced by Reforged.
You have good ideas to counter units. If possible, please build more chaff, your carry units will thank you. Crawlers are good against ranged HDDs like Melters, Marksmen, mustangs, missile artillery (Stormcallers). Fangs or good against medium DDs like Arclights, Sledgehammer, Tarantula. They can also help out a bit against wasps, but they lack range against other air units. And fangs have the shield upgrade that is still useful. Be careful not to put fangs directy in front of faster units.
Game 1 - no point keeping tarantulas so long, especially in face of scorpions, meltas and stormcallers. 500 resources could been spend on another wraith + range. If add sledges - thats another wraith squad. Stormies were good early as well, but later they were doing fraction of what wraiths/boats were doing. So much recources could be put into wasps/upgrades for boats/wraiths, while rendering his stormies/scorpions useless.
Grubby, could you supply the last replay? I would love to try to win the first battle (if at all possible) I love that you can try to redo turns in this games replay system.... such a learning tool (Via paid discord or whatever)
man between grubbyplays and that other fellow followgrubby (the one that plays only wc3 for some reason) i really can't decide who my favorite RTS content creator is... :/

If they are not in range of enemies that want to kill them how effective are they going to be at stopping missiles?

Leaving the Tarantula unprotected for so many rounds was really painful to watch hahaha

This game looks super fun, its pure strat, no micro management.

Beware the hackers, your mind is not the only thing they probe

Grubby lean way too much into aggressive positioning which leads opponents into flanking because they get tower so easily.
mega sus thumbnail
He's gonna bite it
"Played a lot of auto battlers" and no mention of Legion TD 2.

@@kyrax9462 playerbase-wise it is not much smaller than mechabellum

Aggressive tarantulas are countered by hackers. Old news.
