  • Video three of the Damascus integral chef's knife build includes how I heat treat the 1084 and 15N20 Damascus, and how I finish grind to prepare for hand sanding and the handle fit up.

Thanks! I'm surprised you're not using an anti-scaling product before you pop your blades into your kiln. I've been using one from Pop's that works surprisingly well, and saves my belts. Appreciate you sharing your processes, as always.

You're very welcome, and thanks again for the comments. You know, I really don't know why I don't use an anti-scaling agent. I see Neels Van Den Berg use one, and it seems to be a great addition to the process, but I've just never tried it. Maybe I'll have to get some ordered.

I’m really mad I sub to this channel like a month ago for a video I seen and forgot about it. Not I’m binge watching it like Netflix show 😂

thanks again, another really useful video, you have shown a couple of things that nobody else I have watched has ever shown how they do them, best channel by far for easy to understand how to info, mind I don't have a belt grinder that is any real use yet but the same things will help with the old file and bench grinder anyway, have a great xmas

I’m truly happy to hear that I’m helping. I try not to exclude things that I’ve been doing for a while and assume everyone else knows. Thanks again, Andy!

Thanks a ton and merry Xmas to you! That’s awesome! A heat treat kiln makes things a lot easier and a lot more accurate for a better end product.
