    To add to advanced Tip #6 with scoreboard tracking :
    Instead of memorizing each hero’s ult charge points, my tip here is to have each teammate track their matchup - I’m the Ana in this game, so I keep an eye out on their Ana and look at the time + the damage and healing done to estimate whether she has nano boost or not.
    Our DVa should keep an eye out for their Zarya’s damage, etc.
    Obviously it’ll get more difficult mid-game because you have to remember when the last ult was used and at what time/what their damage or healing number looked like and work backwards, doing some subtraction and math to figure out the difference but it’s not too hard as long as you have a big brain

    • @overlordalfredo
      @overlordalfredo 2 года назад +8

      It gets tricky when heroes are switching though.
      If they play DVa for a minute and switch to Rein they keep some Charge but some of it is killed off, so this is not super accurate

      Also tank passive might make it so someone has less ult charge than expected right? Though it's probably not too big a difference.

      @@EdisArchive Good point, it's a bit less. All in all its to be used to ballpark when people have their ults. Before the scoreboard back in OW1 people develop a 6th sense and can generally tell when enemies are close to ulting.

Instead, set the hero near spawn to junkrat and kill him. He drops bombs on death dealing up to 300 damage, making for a MUCH quicker way to take damage.

      It’s bad if you don’t know what you’re doing, but zoning is hardly a bad thing with some characters. If you can make an enemy use a long cooldown while making it out alive yourself with a character such as Echo, it’s definitely not bad play. The number 1 tip I have for OW2, especially for new players and people from OW1 who haven't played for a while, is to stop focusing on targeting tanks. Tanks are MUCH stronger in this game than ever before, so while in OW1 you could still pressure and kill them with good results, in OW2 unless they're wildly out of position or if they're not getting healing you're not likely to do much against them. When a teamfight breaks out, your priority should be the Supports and DPS. When you take them out, the tank will be a lot easier to finish off.
    For tip #10 I'd like to point out that while the Payload moves faster with more people on it, that might not result in you pushing it farther if your team all crowds around it. If you win a teamfight, choosing to leave only one person on the Payload and defensively holding an advance position far ahead of the Payload path can gain you more progress instead. A good example would be on King's Row. If you win point A, but everyone just stays on the Payload, the Defending team will respawn and will most likely be back by the time it reaches the first corner chokepoint, gaining only a very small amount of progress. On the other hand, if you leave one person on the Payload, the rest of your team could push up to the 5th or 6th corner ahead on the path and try to hold that. If you successfully do so, then the Payload can make it all the way to the second checkpoint if you win that fight! If you can't hold down that corner, you can just fall back and try to fight at the 4th corner, or the 3rd corner, etc. You'll still gain more progress that way.
    For tip #21, it's important to remember that while you should try to not die, don't make the mistake of being so afraid to die that you play completely passively and never make plays that put you at risk. There is no strategy or attack plan that doesn't carry the risk of dying, so if you feel that you're completely safe you're probably doing something wrong. Doing nothing useful will accomplish just as much as dying. This is really important for characters like Sombra, who can easily avoid dying by Translocating away to safety, but spending most of your gameplay teleporting away and running back is just as bad as dying and running back from spawn. You have to put yourself in the heat of battle and try to gain value for your team even if you might die. Don't confuse "avoiding dying" with "avoiding danger of all kinds" or else you might as well just sit in spawn all game.

    • @clonkex
      @clonkex 2 года назад +2

      Totally agree with leaving one person on the payload. I feel like it was sort of common in OW1 but not guaranteed to be the better option, but in OW2 it feels almost mandatory.

    • @i_i_capncrunch
      @i_i_capncrunch 2 года назад +5

      The tip on not dying really does require experience in game of the champions and how far u can go. You should be playing kind of on the verge of dying (50-75hp?) before backing out to safety. Ofc this depends on the mobility of the champion you play as.

  • @RicardoEsteves
    @RicardoEsteves 2 года назад +11

    Some more tips:
    • If you see your team lost the team fight and you won't make it out alive, die fast so you don't get staggered and respawn with your team.
    • If you're playing DPS and already have your ult, stop trying to poke damage the enemy team in between fights if you can't one shot them, you're just going to be charging their healers ults instead and won't be helping yourself in any way.
    • If you're playing Zarya, Mei or Tracer against a D.Va, make sure you wait for her Defense Matrix to be used and use your ult right after she stops using DM, which has a 1 second cooldown before it can be used again.
    • Try to force out Bap's lamp, Zen Ult or Lúcio Ult before you commit Grav, Barrage, Blade, Blossom, or other ults that can be easily shut down by one of these abilities.

      Yes you can still pre fire the heal nades as far as I know

  • @tezz2698
    @tezz2698 2 года назад +5

    7:51 On a related note, if you've already lost the fight, then it's better to die fast than to stall as long as you can, especially on attack. The faster you die, the faster you'll respawn and regroup with the rest of your team. Stalling for an extended amount of time can easily cost your team an entire push.
    Also don't get clued to the objective. While capturing the objective is the main goal of the game, you can't do that if you lose the team fight. So once the fight breaks out, you should shift all your focus on killing the enemy team. Similarly on defense, don't panic and swarm the point just because the enemy is touching it. One player is enough to contest it and you want to hold on to a good position as long as possible. So let your tank contest it and keep shooting the enemy on the high ground.

    7:51 Tip number 21: As much as I agree with this it's not that simple in push maps. You can so easily stagger if you have a few people left in a lost fight. Instead fight around and the robot so they won't be able to move it and die quickly to regroup. I've seen so many times players running for so long when they are trying to regroup and end up staggering so much.

    • @blazethefaith
      @blazethefaith 2 года назад +2

      That applies to every mode, push is just especially bad since the objective is so mobile. I think a good rule for people to start with would be if you're getting hit on your retreat and no one else is around, just face the enemy and die quickly. With experience, you can better know when you're able to escape successfully, but its always safer to die early and respawn with your team.

    • @teyr5
      @teyr5 2 года назад +1

      @@blazethefaith No push is extremely punishing because you have to retreat to the direction where the robot is going so the whole team will absolutely hunt you down. However retreating from a fight in any other map is completely fine and very possible. However, if you are in a cp map and your team has it in control, at least die in the point to get some extra percentage. But yeah in push it's the most punishing thing to do to start retreating in a lost fight when it's like 2v4 for example in favor to the enemy

    My tip is for some characters to use their ults as a blocking technique lets say a kiriko uses her kitsune and their gonna rush if you have a cassidy or hanzo or even a soldier their ults can be used to keep them from advancing their push it may not get you a play of the game but you know you saved the team

    Never flame. Ever.
    We all get tempted to say something about another player lacking. Just don't. Even if you are right it will only hurt your chances of winning. (I must admit I fail to do this still).
    And a related tip is to focus on your own game. The only person you can control in the match is yourself. If you lose, so what, take the oppurtunity to improve from it. And this is a major lesson in life, dont get hung up on mistakes, learn from them.
    And when someone is flaming me I do my best to ignore it. I might mute them without engaging and continue to focus on the match.

    For OWL, you gotta watch 32 hours for all rewards. This means about 160 league tokens from watching, plus the 100 for watching 30 hours in the playoffs so 260. 260 is almost enough to buy the increased priced all star and mvp skins. So this will be particularly helpful. I have 145 rn, so the 260 added is 405 for me to have at the end.

    Well the other day I found out the hard way that Zarya's grav can grab you from the other side of walls. Its been a year and a half of playing and ive never been pulled into a wall. But on the side of Ults. Learn the behaviors of the characters when they are going to ult. IE Reaper on high ground or trying to teleport into your backline. Is Cass trying to get behind on high ground. JR retreating behind a wall.

    As someone who plays Junkrat a lot. I have a bit of a personal tip when it comes to tip 21 "Die less." If you are playing Junkrat and know you are going to die. Don't run away. Run Towards the enemy team. Junkrat drops bombs when he dies and if the enemy is already low when they kill you. You have a chance to kill them when they kill you. In low gravity I was mine Jumping around and accidentally Jumped over the enemy team when a Widowmaker headshot me and killed me. It rained bombs on the enemy team and Killed like 2 of them.

      I dont think the bot moves faster ever with more people. Reason being that if it moved faster it would outrun you and then stop, and then move, and then stop.
      The bot only moves at the speed of a character.

    So I have been playing for about a 2 days now. Moria is my go to support. Reaper Is my dps and I haven't decided on my tank yet. But I wanna know tips on Moria though because the way I play her is more aggressively team based, I use her damaging orb and peel from behind I've actually just got a 29k game from doing so twice now. But I also heal when I can, I do see that people focus the supports so they usually break me away from the team as quick as they can I just wanna know if I'm using her right or being to aggressive.
