Saw this album in Vinyle in a shop in Brussels, labeled as Drum&Bass.. Glad I didn't buy it, this is some kind of Trip Hop.. I was waiting for Drum&Bass, the real thing. Well this seems pretty good for sure, maybe a bit dated for me
if you like it a little give it a try. i went from thinking oh yeah its cool but slow. to it being one of my favourites of any genre. it merges styles and eras so it is timeless to me. @@rodolphep0nthus555

@@Isabellabronx70s just checked: Superthruster is actually at 43:00. All these track names are off.. I'll try dig up my CD in few weeks as I now have the promo copy. (I actually prefer the track order of the final release. I used to think the upbeat four to the floor Superthruster was a cheesey and even misleading track to start a downtempo album, but it actually flows way better to start 'up', then space out from there.
Since the first time I've heard this gem, I just imagine my dream gf performing the sweetest dance moves undressing herself to 51:44. One of the best albums I've heard. Found it on Napster and now on YT?! >One Love< -A
@@BenitaSFB no, I'm not, just giving my point of view, I've been a bass player for about 35 years and the bass is really poor in that recording (poor playing and hard to hear, ), same for the drums, sounds like electronic drum machine, so I repeat (MY POINT OF VIEW ! If it's not yours that's your right, but please stay polite and respect others ones !), for such musicians it's a real waste.
@@stephane406 bro i got you, im hearing this album after 10 years, and the first time i heard it, i said the same, where the hell is the drum and bass, as reggae lover i was specting some classic dub reggae basslines also reggae drumming as is usual on sly and robbie.. BUT!!! Hearing it now i can understand that is experimental album, not what i expect, but if fou take a time and hear the album maybe you can hear some sounds you will like, at least some beats....i recommend to you the albums ruclips.net/video/AuV_zkxxl-M/видео.html sly and robbie in pure reggae style
