"Hello, my name is Chanti, and I'm 29 years old from Kakinada, Andhra Pradesh. As a photographer, I used to struggle with joint pains that made it difficult for me to stand for long hours. After consulting a doctor in Kakinada, I was diagnosed with Systemic Lupus Erythematosus (SLE), a condition I had never heard of before. I felt hopeless, but the doctor recommended visiting the NIMS Rheumatology department in Hyderabad. After seeking treatment there, I gained a better understanding of my condition and began taking my medication regularly. I'm now doing well, and I'm grateful to the doctors at NIMS for raising awareness about SLE and emphasizing the importance of adhering to my medication. Interestingly, my 18-year-old niece is also an SLE patient, and she's doing well thanks to her compliance with treatment. I urge the doctors to continue working towards finding a permanent solution for SLE. Thank you."
