Same but in a slightly different way for me-
(My mom is a badass but wasn’t always there, but she tried her best to hum or sing me to sleep as a kid, and left recordings for my dad to play, or she FaceTimed, plus she loved showing my brother and I pirate movies or ocean movies-)
Interesting how so many people think of pirates. Most shanties are 19th century I think, usually sung by whalers.

Wellerman isnt originally by the longest johns it comes from around the 1860s in new Zealand. Although the longest johns and the dreadnoughts are great for sea shanties

@@souponthefly3750 A Pirate's Life is also good. They upload tons of different people's songs. The only thing is they technically could be qualified as non-sea shanties, they do have music in them. But they are still songs about sailors and pirates, so I would still recommended them.

You have to make more sea shanty videos, it’s so relaxing. Sea shanties already feel like gently rocking waves, I have synesthesia, but when you sing it like that it’s like a rocking chair on a spring day, a cool breeze on my face.
