The producers at MCA at the time knew what they were doing and that's when all hell broke loose. First all big record labels killed off R&B music departments due to being greedy and making more money on rap and selling sexual persona's and not good talent. The other problem as I see it is that every artist wanted to take total control of there whole projects and in my opinion is the worst thing to ever happen to black music. Not everyone can write, produce or sing but they allow them to do so because it's cheaper. I'm sad to say that I don't ever expect to hear music as beautiful as this anymore due in part by what I just explained and it hurts my soul, because I am all things music when it comes to the black singing voice!!!!!
