That's a terrific looking small SUV! Way better than any of the competition. Who cares about the size of the screen? It works very well, which is the main concern.
So glad you guys reviewed this. The xt4 doesn’t seem to get much attention from reviewers but I think it looks great and is an affordable luxury vehicle.
Somehow... Cadillac has surreptitiously developed a unique and elegant design language that absolutely... and finally works. Give credit where credit is due. They had their share of misses in their recent past. Well done them! Thanks for the video.

Zack, Zack, Zack. The smirk when discussing the 8" screen size was priceless. You guys do fabulous reviews. I'm subscribed and addicted. Keep up the great work. Big Andy from Nelson BC.
Zach at the mention of 8”. Lol. Thanks guys been waiting for this. Such a good looking car! I’m only interested in the sport w Sedona or wheat colour interior which really makes the interior more premium feeling over the all black. And I totally agree about packages…Cadillac cleverly bundled the options so u are kinda forced to take multiple packages to get one desired option. It’s frustrating. Unfortunately, stock, at least in Winnipeg, is almost nonexistent due to production being shut down for months now to allocate more chips to higher profit vehicles.
Great review! I’m with Zack on the size of the screen. I’m okay with losing that initial “wow!” factor of a huge screen in favor of keeping all the hard buttons. More importantly, I am glad Andrea and Zack agree it’s fun to drive. I would go Sport Trim and skip the Pano and instead brighten things up with the carmel colored interior. Glad Cadillac is a serious competitor in this space.
I have a 2020 XT4 Luxury, and I couldn't be happier. The vehicles has not put a foot wrong in the time I've owned it. I'm ok with the 8" screen, it does everything I want quickly and easily, and I love carrying around our entire 512GB cd collection on a USB stick accessible from the touch screen! Free bi-annual maintenance with pick up and delivery by my dealer has made ownership absolutely painless. I drove it off the lot with 8kms on the odometer, and it's been "sound as a pound" ever since. Looking at replacing it with a 2022 XT4 very soon.
Amazing video Andrea and Zack! It seems that Cadillac has stepped up their game with their current lineup of vehicles! Totally agree though the touch screen needs an update
My sis in law has the xt4 and she loves it. Hers is loaded with everything but the only thing I don't like is the maroonish looking exterior. Almost looks brown in cloudy conditions but to each their own. I bought the xt5(satin steel metallic) not long ago as I wanted a little bigger size. And I have it with a 2L turbo which is more than enough power. Very fun to drive. I'm also like Zach in that the 8" screen is fine.

Dear Mr. and Mrs. Motormouth: Great post as always. But do mention that the new 2022 XT4 and XT5 have omitted some critical features of 2021 models althought these features are still being mentioned on GMs Build and Price platform. Examples: No passenger electric seat and a few other things. Salesmen will not point this out until you ask . . .
Now that the Buick Envision has changed over to the XT4 platform and it has some differences like a 10” screen electric seats for both driver and passenger, also other safety extras. Best part is your saving at least $5000. Or more over the Cadillac.
@@bobmohr4952 But Bob, the Envision still has those buttons you press to shift. Not a problem for me but it's a deal breaker for my wife. She has to have a shift knob. I tell her that the shift knob is still drive by wire but she won't go for it and is in love with the XT4 Sport and its shift knob. Thanks for the reply. Now dig this -- the Cad salesman tells me I will have to order the Sport and he will NOT know the MSRP until the car is delivered. So I wait 4 - 6 months for an XT4 and then am blindsided with a (possibly much higher) MSRP to take delivery. No way . . . I might as well go to a casino. Is this a dealer policy or is this a GM policy. The salesman won't tell me. Does Mary Barra know about these shananigans?
This car was on my "short list" but after test driving the Genesis GV70 all bets were off! The GV70 has so many features that come standard and the Cadillac packages were a serious deterrent. I've had my GV70 for 2 weeks now and couldn't be happier. BEST CAR EVER!
Thanks for the review Andrea and Zack... Cadillac has really improved their products... I findmyself thinking about buying the new CT5-V Blackwing manual as my last new ICE vehicle.
I'm about to pre-ordered a Silver XT4 to replace my 2014 CTS here at Israel. I love how the CTS drives and hopefully it still have that Cadillac experience. What do you think of the Silver color ?
Love the styling outside of the XT4. A family member owns a '20 Lincoln Corsair 2.0 TB. Much nicer interior in terms of fit and materials. And they got a helluva good lease deal from the Ford/Lincoln dealership.
Nice looking vehicle. GM is really stepping it up. The Buick Envision is the same vehicle for less and my opinion, it’s slightly nicer and unique looking.
I am just going to say it. The interior of the XT4 needs a major re-design. The XT4’s exterior design can compete against any of its competitors (GLA,Audi Q3, BMW X1, etc). The interior design can stand toe to toe with a Buick, but not its Luxury crossover competition. The interior design is the XT4’s Achilles' heel.
I purchased the 2025 XT4 at Ed Morse Cadillac in Tampa, FL just two weeks ago. The deliver process was somewhat of a bait and switch, though I blame myself for not being more cautious when signing the final paperwork. They pulled the usual long delays after agreeing to a price to wear the customer down. That aside, the dealer prep was atrocious. Dirty windows on the inside, sticker glue on both front doors on the inside. It wasn't till after I finally picked up the car that I noticed that there was essentially no base coming from the sound system The sound was just as flat as could be. I brought the vehicle into the service and three of the service staff stopped just short of telling me that I bought the cheap version (without the higher end sound system). Again I blame myself for not paying more attention to these details at the time of pickup instead of being mesmerized by the glitz of the Cadillac (I was trading up from a 2012 Ford Escape that I absolutely loved). That being said, my 2012 Ford Escape Limited which cost half of this cadillac had a thousand times better sound system, was four wheel drive, not two wheel drive and much more internal space. True, it didn't have a wrap around OLED display and other bells and whistles, but it served me extremely well for the 12 years and 128,000 miles that I had the privilage of owning it. I now regret not having returned the XT4 when I discovered the sound system issue. The 2025 XT4 looks very nice, but for the prices, it's no bargain.

Cadillac wants to market itself against the MB, Audi or BMW, but not in value (only price). It's a nice SUV, but the value goes to the Acura RDX (or Lincoln Corsair). Nameplate aside, the Sante Fe is a terrific value. I read on average, the UAW's labor contract (and I am not anti-union) adds about $2,500 to the cost of each domestic car, making them fall behind the others in value.
I know JD Power has given this a good score... but for some reason consumer reports really dinges the XT4. Score of 52/100 and its not even recommended... why such a stark difference between Consumer Reports and JD Power?
Exactly what I said in my comment. We all know, using common sense and past history, that Cadillac (and all GM products) are just hot garbage when it comes to reliability.
JD Power gives this a higher initial quality score then Lexus. Go look at each of these yourself in person closely at fit and finish. More importantly keep track how much you'll spend on repairs over 3-5 years and resale value. Not even close! JD Power is a joke (so is Consumed Reports they're a bunch of woke Cali people. Watch their videos 😂). Used market ALWAYS tells the real story.
While 2022 Lexus NX pricing is not available yet, the base 2021 NX 300 starts at $44,600 (all prices in Canadian dollars) and the NX 300h hybrid at $47,100.
Aaawww They should include the 13 speakers to throw a party in the Cadillac! Just kidding. 😆 I am totally agree you Andrea regarding the touchscreen should like Mercedes-Benz’s touchscreen AND it should be a colourful screen is an eye catching. Cheers! 👍🏻👊🏻☕️
I love that the Caddy interior (dash-console) aren't consumed with the shiny piano black surfaces. They are dust and fingerprint magnets. Anyone know if it has the kill button for the annoying/hated engine stop/start?
As per all GM products over the last number of years, not a lot of standard features on the base model forcing you purchase many packages and a la carte options and then the price has spiraled out of control and the value proposition has gone out the window.
I didn’t see climate control in the back seat. You don’t seem to mention it… but this is more important to me than a heated steering wheel… and I live in central BC where we have colder winters than you :) I sort of like the styling … not as much as the Envision or RDX. Rear space is important so that’s a plus. Was the RDX close in space to the XT4? I think I’d take the RDX or Envision over this.
It's not the initial quality gm products have a reputation on, it's after 3 years they fall apart. Nearly every mechanic on youtube pretty much agree that GM products are junk after they get some age on them, especially Cadillac. The only initial quality issues I recall hearing about is the headliners in Equinox falling down after a few months
Not true, Cadillac Chevrolet and Buick all score above average in the 3-year dependability scores, Buick is near the top. Go have a look. www.jdpower.com/business/press-releases/2021-us-vehicle-dependability-study-vds
@@Motormouth... i wouldn't trust them to be reliable either except their older products (charger / challenger). I have friends that have got screwed by dodge products and the dealers never went good on the warranty. Dodge fights recalls all the time to not help customers. I wouldn't use them as an example for quality. Like I said these brands had issues for years, it takes a long time to win people back. Just like hyundai and kia. They are making good products but people are still thinkinh they are like the 2000's.
A little more power would have been great. The rear looks like every other smaller CUV. The front fascia however, distinguishes it from the rest. Again no disrespect, but it's no wonder that Andrea loved to drive it. It's a very feminine oriented CUV.. That's a positive attribute, as it lends credence to the fact that Cadillac knows its demographics.. Great Review you two.
Wouldn’t buy anything with a turbo that burns premium. Long term costs wouldn’t be good. If I was looking for a smaller SUV I’d be looking at a Lexus NS Hybrid.
I can't believe no one talks about the ride, how was the ride, how was the ride, not complaining about packages, although I won't buy one for that reason.
How is Cadillac reliable? This year, Consumer Reports, which is far more trustworthy than JD Power, ranked Cadillac 22 out of 32 brands for reliability, so nearly in the bottom third of all brands. Cadillac did the best of all GM brands, GMC and Chevy were ranked 26 and 24, respectively.
Consumer reports tells the real story. But a Lexus instead, this thing has transmission issues and overall reliability continues to be poor. JD power is not it.
GM Interior design team has a big problem now. The new envision interior is just way too ugly plus the nonsense button drive mode selection. The Chevrolet Blazer has the round air outlets like big holes around you and the Lcd screen is small and stands vertically which is difficult to see and touch from the driver position. The GMC has all the old plastic panel layout....
That's a terrific looking small SUV! Way better than any of the competition. Who cares about the size of the screen? It works very well, which is the main concern.

I didn’t see climate control in the back seat. You don’t seem to mention it… but this is more important to me than a heated steering wheel… and I live in central BC where we have colder winters than you :)
I sort of like the styling … not as much as the Envision or RDX.
Rear space is important so that’s a plus. Was the RDX close in space to the XT4?
I think I’d take the RDX or Envision over this.
Have you done any video on 2019 Mitsubishi Mirage SE??
LOL. Yea OK. I'm sure he'll get on that

There are a few on the channel
It's not often you hear them complain about 8 inches 😉
Cute couple.
🙏
Still wondering if the Volvo xc40 would be a better car?
I agree with Zack for the dash. You are buying a car not a tv
I’m laughing cause toward the end of the video she mentions 8inches , referring to the screen and Zac giggles.
Does it have a spare tire??,
It's not the initial quality gm products have a reputation on, it's after 3 years they fall apart.
@@Motormouth... i know you have been saying this awhile, but they have this reputation for a reason. It could just be past products
@@edweagle Brands change, look at RAM and Dodge at the top of scores this year. Two years in a row for Dodge.
Love your dress Andera - That other person is always on some kind of polo and blues - OMG he need to see someone who can help with the outfits.
I don't look good in dresses
12:30 Zack, be cool man…🤣🤣🤣
X1 or XC40 or XT4?
Wouldn’t buy anything with a turbo that burns premium. Long term costs wouldn’t be good. If I was looking for a smaller SUV I’d be looking at a Lexus NS Hybrid.
Why didn't see V power xT4 like sister her ct4
like it. Her dressy and the car.

"Its pumpkin spice!"
"We also get a little bit of a carboning(?) here..."
LOL, I dont think he is a fan of the PSL
I can't believe no one talks about the ride, how was the ride, how was the ride, not complaining about packages, although I won't buy one for that reason.
How is Cadillac reliable? This year, Consumer Reports, which is far more trustworthy than JD Power, ranked Cadillac 22 out of 32 brands for reliability, so nearly in the bottom third of all brands. Cadillac did the best of all GM brands, GMC and Chevy were ranked 26 and 24, respectively.
Caddies today look really nice. Not sure about long-term reliability and durability though.
$57500 seems not too good deal compare to Q3 or GLA
Zach acting like a high school kid😏
Wow u pay for those little features it is still nice
Torque in metric, please. Canada went metric several years ago....
It comes with rattles and road noise at no extra charge I call mine a rattle
With a non turbo V6, this would be on Audi's level. Seriously 237 horsepower?! The fuck is with GM doing EVERYTHING halfassed?!
Hmmm, more power than the Audi Q3 or BMW X1, how is that halfassed?
@@Motormouth... no up-option engine unless you pay more for the XT5
@@pontiacGXPfan Same for Q3
@@Motormouth... Audi has the SQ3 and Cad has....nothing
Consumer reports tells the real story. But a Lexus instead, this thing has transmission issues and overall reliability continues to be poor. JD power is not it.
Surprised that GM has good quality.
