I know, the sound signature has to be completely different (much bassier) in non-sealed buds to make up for the lack of seal, but with some EQ adjustments, maybe it could work?
I'm glad Samsung brought out another set of earbuds that aren't in-ears. I have a weird thing where if I can't hear my environment, I get anxiety/panicky. I ended up going with the Sony LinkBuds (the donut shaped ones) and those fit my ears amazingly well, but this style earbud is my preferred style. I might look into these at some point in the future, maybe at my next phone upgrade.

@@MikeOBrienMedia Thank you so much. I was confused between the colors, as I feel the gray one looks better in close-up and in the box, but the white one looks better while wearing it. Is my observation correct?
If samsung wanted to come up with an open ear earphones then they should have stuck to the galaxy buds live and improved those instead of just copying apple. Buds live were excellent and very unique, Using them since 2 years without any issues.
Good for you! The beans are usually on a pretty nice sale because many people dislike them. If they work for you, that’s honestly awesome. You’d might as well stock up before the are discontinued everywhere
I have always hated to insert earbuds into my ears, I saw this on presale, and immediately put the gray ones on my cart. I got them today, pretty satisfied with them, even the noise cancellation.
Theese are not the AirPods killer, for the same reason as the AirPods themselves. They work well with a Samsung Device only. The lack of aptX and Ldac Bluetooth Codecs, will make these earphones play either with AAC codec (on an iPhone) or AAC and SBC on an Android. The "scalable codec" known as SSC is available on a Galaxy Device only. So in other words : if you have for example a Xiaomi Tablet or Phone (that can run Ldac), and you want to buy the Buds 3, they will sound as any 50-100€ wireless buds. It would be an AirPods killer if Samsung gave the compatibility with other major codecs such as those mentioned above (LDAC from Sony, aptX from Qualcom and L2HC from Huawei). In that case anyone that does not own a samsung device gen enjoy a quality sound. Otherwise you're stuck in their ecosystem in the same way as other people are stuck with the Apple Ecosistem. The reason is that Samsung forces you (in a way) to buy only their products.
I was plesantly surprised when I saw these yesterday. I got the Buds2 Pros for free when I got my Z Fold4 nearly 2 years ago, I used them once for 30mins and my ears were in pain, plus the sensation of the ambient sound and sealing of the ear canal were disconcerting to me. I promptly packed them up back in the box and despite plans to sell them, that's where they have sat since. I've been looking at the JBL Tune Flex since they are a similar open design with stems and are supported by the JBL headset app. Plus, since JBL is owned by Samsung, they are Bixby compatible. However, I'm wondering if the Buds3 are worth the extra $80 or $90 CAD.
@technerd9655 oh dang, they're not terribly expensive tho. Especially if you get them now. I bought some yesterday and I'm running on those grad student funds lol
I'd be okay with this if they kept the old design alongside it and made these the "open ear" version. Strong noise cancellation/isolation/whatever is important to me. I dont wanna have to turn the volume up too high
I can only seem to keep the airpod gen 2’s or the old earbuds to stay in my ear. I bought the airpod pros and the 3rd gen AirPods and those still couldn’t stay in my ears well. The Galaxy Buds 2 couldn’t stay in my ears either so I’m thankful the new pair are open ear. Maybe I’ll have more luck?

I dont like them. Slight movement makes them pop out of my ears, but i will say that when they do manage to stay in whilst im standing perfectly still, the sound is nice.
Hey, the Buds 3 actually do have ANC like the Pro model. This is listed on Samsung's website in the specs. The regular Buds 3 do lack adaptive noise cancellation though.
Hopefully you can test them with iOS devices and see which functions get retained or not. They look promising alternatives to AirPods which stop functioning well after a year or two.
I get that Buds 3 doesn't have ANC, but does it have Transparency Mode? ANC is not that important of a feature for me. My hearing is not that great even without the buds, so relying on the open buds design probably wouldn't get me the level of transparency of sound that I need. :/
They don't have transparency based off the fact that they are open ear buds and have enough innate passthrough. If you were hoping to use transparency mode as a pseudo-hearing aid, then you'd probably be better off with the Galaxy Buds 3 Pro, AirPods Pro 2, or Bose QC Ultra.
great, more similar looking products to others. I love my Buds +. I'll buy them all up. I like em that much. I like how small they are and they look like nothing else out there and they stay put in my ears unlike the buds 2, kept falling out of my ears.

@@MikeOBrienMedia yes iam trying to stock them 😜
How is it comparing to Buds Live?
Finally non in ear ones🙏🏻
I have always hated to insert earbuds into my ears, I saw this on presale, and immediately put the gray ones on my cart. I got them today, pretty satisfied with them, even the noise cancellation.
How is the charging time
Does the buds 3 have ambient noise capabilities like the buds pro 2?
Now I can upgrade from the Galaxy Bud Live
Way better than the old beans imo. I'm glad they finally came out with an updated open design!
Did you upgrade yet? I'm wanting to upgrade from my Galaxy Buds Live as well and this looks tempting!
Trade in the ones you don't use and get money off. That'll be worth it possibly
@lyric1906 you can't trade in headsets unfortunately, not considered hygenic. At least not here in Canada.
I have Galaxy buds pro, is it worth upgrading to Galaxy buds 2 pro? (Priority is overall sound quality)
If you're going to upgrade, skip the 2 pro and get the 3 pro. The dual driver / dual amp setup is a pretty significant improvement
Idk about buds2 pro but at that point go for the buds3 pro.
@@MikeOBrienMedia budget is 100 USD, guess I'll wait for buds 3 pro to get on sale then, Buds pro are still doin good
@@nova164262 pro I used to have just because i miss my original ones. I only used it only 4 times because i preferred the headphones. The fit is super slippery for me, it has no wing tips, but that will depend how it fits on you. I prefer these the with stem because the wire ones (AKG) are more comfortable it doesn't stretch my ears, hopefully these doesn't.
@@nova16426 nope, as a guy who appreciate sound over anything, wait for the Rtings review, or crinacle if he ever do.
Rtings will do it first i guess.
the best one at this point to go for in this budget is jabra elite 8 active if they go on sale.
i got them for 130.
and don't think just because i own them that's why the recommendation.
i have sony xm4, buds 2 pro, liberty 2 pro and others.
and i forgot to mention, jabra 8 active have dolby atmos, which i don't really use, but not dolby SURROUND
Bean for me....just like the previous buds 2...never like this type....the more i see many reviews...the more i hate the shape ...😂..years i have been waiting for update and got this...seems i will be looking for other brands without earwax dripping for the speaker.
The regular Buds3 actually has ANC. Its the same feature like the Buds Live had with the open design
I hate silicone tips, I guess this will work for me since very few earbuds come with the open design lately
I have the buds 2 pro but hate how they fit, was thinking of replacing them with these
Not a fan of stem headsets so I will buy the buds 2 pro instead
great, more similar looking products to others. I love my Buds +. I'll buy them all up. I like em that much. I like how small they are and they look like nothing else out there and they stay put in my ears unlike the buds 2, kept falling out of my ears.
Is Samsung galaxy pro good at music quality?
I hate in ear buds, they always slide out and are uncomfortable with my piercings. Very excited for these cuz i was just using an old apple wired bud now 😅
