Regarding to the cleaning at Tokyo terminal, after arriving at Tokyo Station with passengers from other cities, the Shinkansen will be cleaned before it turns back to the next destination. Trains coming directly from the switchyard have already been cleaned, so there is no cleaning at the station. The cleaning time is always limited like 5 min before the departure. It was very good that you were able to meet with your younger brother without any troubles.
