So i can only assume, that he dies in vol 8 or possibly yet unlikely 9.

I was hesitant to actually watch this because this whole scenario was quite contrived: Everyone acted stupid for plot's sake I understand Ironwood's POV and whil as you have said before there were flaws with his Staff plan and he isnt evil, just mentally unstable but this whole sequence was awkward. I understand Clover's actions to try to hold off Qriw who was the biggest threat. Clover had Tyrian on the ropes here, he needed Qrow arrested too. (I personally would have reached a compromise and confront James/ try to mediate, which Clover may have been willing to do before... Robyn tried shooting him in the face, this was foolish. She is not a close ranged fighter and started an altercation in the worst place possible. Qrow immediately fought Clover to back up Robyn instead of trying to calm them down. There were ways to mediate and not have a fight cause a crash. Why did he not run away? He had the opportunity to escape and help RWBY, leaving him to fight Tyrian. Clover was strong enough to win. Why did he even blaming Ironwood? I get he's mad but this situation was just really poorly handled by all parties. I understand James's motivations, clover's to an extent and Qrow's beef with Tyrian but Robyn i just get nothing. Its distracting because it lacked build up. Robyn never tries diplpmacy with James, questions him in the worst place ever after she already knew James was trying to help everyone. Can I mention that no one focused on the real issue being Salem's arrival? Why did no one actually use that point in the conflict Qrow: Hey Salem is coming and James will need me. You were with me all night sp u know Im not doing anything illegal. hold onto my weapon and lets go to James! He didnt want them dead and didnt want them interfering, the nect thing they did was beat up the atlesian elite right before planning on fighting Salem. I almost want to root for Salem because this episode had pseudo logic. How did Qrow not even see Tyrian approach Clover from behind? In fact with how the layout was, Tyrian was behind/ to the side of Qrow no behind Clover. An awful taste after a strong volume. I may be a fair gamer but I wasnt upset about the ship, I was upset that Clover had a lot of potential, he was Ironwood's strongest, had hints of being a middle ground between Atlas and RWBY, was even teased that he may defy James in some way. I feel like they killed him off for an extra layer of unrest and as an excuse to pit James vs Qrow and to justify Winter, despite being 24-26 CANONICALLY, becoming the next general because the guy with roughly 15 years of experience over her just died. If they are going for Evil James angle instead of a dark antihero phase before a redemtion in death, they could have swapped Oscar and Clover in the confrontation scene and have Clover be murdered by James for "treason". While Robyn and Qrow look for RWBY. This works in the Clover sides with RWBY scenario. Ties in beautifully with some quotes James: If you were one of my men Id have you shot Clover: I trust that man with my life ans he trusts you...
I love how you captured Qrow's emotions. I know others were used for criticism or humour, but this one really captured how dear Clover was to Qrow, platonic or romantic it doesnt matter. This was a case where his decisions and not his semblance brought pain to those around him. Great work! Qrow, Clover and James were characters I really felt throughout the volume. Im hoping Vol 8 will help fill the void. I wanna see hero James, qrow moving on and if possible some more light shed on who Clover was.
I liked how when Clover got stabbed even Qrow’s inner thoughts where stunned silent. They knew this was a serious moment so they didn’t ruin it with jokes. Props to them.
