For those interested in Kindred's origin (assuming you've heard of the Gray Man): Kindred and company are different representations of death. The Gray Man, however, is death itself. No representation, just actual death. People feared death and, trying to understand it, they came up with different embodiments of it. One of those is Lamb and Wolf aka Kindred, another is the fading icon. These characters don't actually exist from the beginning, but once the first mask representing one is crafted, they become a mutual concept across people's minds. Since everyone knows Kindred (or another embodiment), everyone can see them. Since everyone can see them, they are real, in a way. As an embodiment is forgotten over time, like the fading icon, it is practically erased from existence (think that guy from Pixar's Inside Out). However, death will be a thing for as long as life is, and another embodiment will represent it. Example: A man is killed. As he draws his last breath, he sees a figure. Whether this is Lamb and Wolf or the fading icon depends on which one he believes in. Neither is actually on the ground in front of him, it's just in his head. Ultimately, though, it doesn't matter, as he's dead either way. In other words, the masks are everything. Nobody wants to see true death, so they gave it masks. The Kindred quotes are so cool, I love how they reference specific champion's lore in Lamb's stories for Wolf - the star that crashed down to earth was Pantheon, that "met its match" when Aatrox killed him and Atreus was brought back, and the "hand to rule with" is Swain's demonic hand that let him take over Noxus.

@@ivanslucki I don't think Necrit is that petty, more lore is always good, you can't take the fact that your theories get deconfirmed too personally
Well the fact that Kindred is the Champion who makes Necrit dive deeper into the lore, so yes absolutly
@@Korinengamecorp yeah, it is not the first time his theory was incorrect and he was never ever petty about it
@@ivanslucki he would never do that... he loves the lore and the storys... even if he is wrong about something he would never hate the lore ...
LeBlanc is svageeeeeee. "by which hand, man's or the demon's?" what a words
I love that they've put the original dialogue at 5:02 on LoR too, it's a really nice touch
Leblanc: (is leblanc)
Leblanc: (is jarvan)
Swain: goddamnit, is anyone else here leblanc?
Neeko: i didnt want to cause trouble but now that You mention it...
hahahha squidward
Thats why I have 100k on leblanc

I like how Leblanc is still so calm even if you lost
Being eons old kinda gets boring after a while
Its part of her plan,we do not play her, she plays us

I love leblanc's lines! It shows that she doesn't play the game of thrones on the throne but whispering in the ear.
1:23 is such a nice interaction, no matter how wise you become you never get to fully understand what death is, and what comes next beyond it.
Jesus Christ the big bird vulture thing is terrifying
Yes (my favourite quote of him)
If even kindred
The personification of death
Is intimidated by it then you can bet your ass he is terrifying
@Wendra To be fair he is quite terrifying, his part of kindred's tale and the one who devours the forgotten.

I keep hearing, "trees into sauce"
And suddenly it’s 18+

Am I the only one who feels sad As I hear Kindred talking about their End as the Wolf would resist and fight back💔💔💔

Its just like the prey they hunt, lamb accepting death while wolf fights back.
Such irony
Vladimir: "I'd never keep my quests waiting"
LeBlanc: "But I've been waiting centuries for you to die"
Also Vladimir: "Ability haste: 80'
Oooohhh, this is the juicy lore I've been waiting for.
So many lore drops in this video! My goodness, Riot - what you lack you make up for in lore; so deep! I'd like to also point out - whoever wrote Kindred's lines needs a raise. They are writing sheer poetry!
They still have the best lines in League I believe. Swain might also share that honor too but they're both damn good.
Kled's are my all time favorite, but Kindred's is a close second. That little rascal is funny, but those two's lines are beautiful.
When Lamb and Wolf say "mother" together i get so much chills
The Kindred quotes are so cool, I love how they reference specific champion's lore in Lamb's stories for Wolf - the star that crashed down to earth was Pantheon, that "met its match" when Aatrox killed him and Atreus was brought back, and the "hand to rule with" is Swain's demonic hand that let him take over Noxus.
Kindred is one of the best designed champions lore and design-wise.
Yey spicy interactions between Swain and Leblanc OwO
Aren't they supposed to be rival/lovers or something? Like the kinda couple that would kill and kiss eachother given the chance?
They are enemies since Leblanc tried to kill Swain. Since he is always ruining her plans.
@@tehrik0020 They are enemys but work together since both of them fear a greater threat: The return of Mordekaiser.
@@tehrik0020 ugh no they are not lovers. Swain executed Leblanc (tho it was just a clone)
@@peterkorinek9881 they were in the old lore, but now Swain wants LeBlanc dead no matter what
And now I'm thinking that Kindred deliberately met that actress centuries ago in order to perpetuate their myth....and thus to keep themselves from being forgotten like the Fading Icon for as long as possible. Huh. A god of death fighting to preserve their own life
I think that woman was either the Mask mother (or an incarnation of her) or straight up LeBlanc. And i actually think that Leblanc wants the world to remember kindred, because kindred is part of her Masterplan to fight against mordekaisers return.
@@faselfasel2864 thats a nice theory but just remember that kindred is just a myth in runeterra, kinda like the loch ness monster or big foot. So in LB's eyes, theres no point in investing into a legend
@@averonisgaming9023 there are plenty of references to kindred and her workings all across runeterra. And Leblanc herself is a myth to most but the highest command of noxus and the black rose. Leblanc is centuries old and plotting for vast amounts of time. She has a lot of knowledge about runeterra through her spy network and her collaboration with vladimir. It's not beyond her to know that kindred isn't a mere myth and the kindred would be a valuable ally against mordekaiser and his army of undead.
@@faselfasel2864 kindred is a they and even if their work is shown throughout runeterra, they are just the concept of death, something most people can't see unless they are dying themselves
@@averonisgaming9023 You are kinda ignorant to the lore. If you read the short story finishing soates, you would realize that people know kindred as Lamb and Wolf, so much so that they replicated their masks for the play. They know about kindred in Ionia as the Taker, they know about kindred in bilgewater, in noxus in the freljord and even demacia. Even the concept of commoners about kindreds nature is quite close to the truth, so it is well inside the scope for Leblanc to scheme around her. Even on the wiki pages mordekaiser and kindred are listed as mutually related characters. Leblanc needs kindred to be remembered if she ever wants to stop mordekaisers return.
Kindred will always be my favorite character from this series.
When i am facing against kindred, i rope purposely just to listen to story.
The story of Death Gods are so interesting. Thank you SkinSpotlights for your hard work

Reminds me of the alexander voice from that mutiny video
God I love Kindred. I always wait to get more of them and they've been treated rather well as of recent. Keep it up SkinSpotlights!
No, her kit is trash in lor.
I feel like in League it's still not doing kindred justice, since you're not *playing as* "kindred", you're playing as lamb.
I love LeBlancs interaction between her "clones"
Kindred tells the story of Pantheon, the star wich fell and the man reborn from it. Maybe next Targon champion?
The star that fell was Asol and Azir/Xerath was the man reborn
@@markvsslta3549 Asol doesn't belong in the same story as Azir and Xerath, and those two don't have anything in common with stars

She also talked about Swain lmao

Death works like Urban Legends in Runeterra. Stories being made(A man being split in half), creation from the story(Mask Mother), then the stories will be forgotten(Fading Icon).
Then the cycle continues, even the Lamb acknowledge her own soon inevitable demise, being forgotten.
Wolf: "I don't like sand. It's coarse, and rough, and irritating, and it gets everywhere."
Lambs voice is just ugh
Its like that post nut clarity, it feels so untangible but you keep yearning for it like a dream.

I've been blue-balled for two weeks waiting for this, and finally it has come. Kindred's voice actors are honestly phenomenal.
thanks SkinSpotlight for the work :)
Necrit is not happy with them calling her mother
and the leblanc sayng there is no more lore? woof, i feel a video incoming sayng "i messed up"
Who cares
@Ted Shin Didnt he already react to that? he said that they called her "Mother" because thats her name, not necessarily because she is their literal mom
I'm a little sad for the Fading Icon. They were a representation or figure of death but is slowly being forgotten. Which is the next level of detahs to concepts that are immortal. So the Etherfiend is waiting for it to be forgotten.
It makes sense. In a land of only undeath, death has no meaning.
I would pay to hear Kindred's voice actors go on forever and ever. Their voices are just too good.
4:11 This was hinting how the Grand General's acquired Raum.
Omg her voice is so calming i want her to read me story like the all the lore of runeterra
Eitherfiend would be an amazing champion
