As I was watching it I was yelling for them to jump on Kairos and finish him off. I don't think he could have gotten away from them there and it would have stopped so much of the damage he later did.

Still irks me the way they kitted the dragons out in general. Strom dragon? No Tempest, Windblast, Thunderbolt, chain lighting.... NOTHING?! I get the Chinese strom dragons were just as much about healing as they were destruction, i get the yin yang thing....BUT THERE OUGHT TO BE PLENTY OF DESTRUCTION TOO. " STORM DRAGON GETTING FUCKED UP BY TEMPEST IS SILLY.
@@HiddenEvilStudios wyverns never had a breath attack in the Tabletop. there was an expansion which allowed you to buy breath weapons for wyverns but only if you used those wyverns. The Orc and Goblin wyverns never had one. just poisoned attacks. They're supposed to be very distant relatives of true dragons any way.
It's a bit odd i'll grant you. However, it'll probably change with the Cathay DLC on the way. Dragons didn't have breath weapons until Game 2. So maybe the cathayan dragons will get them later on. There were a lot of things that took a step back with Game 3. They're slowly getting better.
The vanilla maps are beautiful and definitelt built for battles this size - there just arent many in campaign of this size. Great video as always, it was a fun one. Barrier doesnt come back passivly in the mod, lords and heroes can restore it
@@jman9049 they fire precursor shots on the charge, but in streets they struggle in a way they don't in the field. They got all the rockets off in that battle though, some on the right flank and some into the nurgle lord
This map layout is actually the same as The Black Pyramid! It's a great siege map, I managed to save a replay of 3 fullstacks of Bretonnian armies attacking 3 stacks + a garrison of Tomb Kings, I really love it. I hope we get to see more big and expansive siege maps in the future, both official and modded.
I was criticizing Cathay for holding on to their lords till end. But tbh both the players used them so well. Kept them fresh and full hp so late game they can snipe lords or cycle charge infantry. 200 IQ
I like those hand rockets. That would be a cool unit to add in a dlc. Kind of like empire grenade lancher blunderbusses for cathay. Maybe less arc to their fire but more accurate.
The way how explosives (look at dwarfs) and rockets work in this game, I would NOT want them on any regular ranged units. Chaos Dwarfs had rocket 'Irondrakes' in Ovn WH2 mod, and they were the most overpowered, broken unit I have ever seen in any mod. (Just how these cathayan rocket chicks seemed to be in this siege.) (Aside from something like a broken character like Malakai with his own thunderbarge)
Its great to finally see some seiges... not gonna lie tho this mod is horribly frustraiting, peasants with perfect leadership and the dragons tore thru 2 greater deamons and 2 tzeentch knights without being scratched, the magic did almost no damage
Peasants have poor leadership, they just get large bonuses defending a city. I suspect you and I saw different constellations of the dragon? There's only so dead an enemy can get

Something so painful about watching ranged units just sit there and not shoot even though fire at will is on and a clear line of sight is present. Ive lost a few campaign battles due to that, and it gets me super annoyed anytime I see it xD
A lot of the maps in this game make it seem like the map dev team and the unit dev team aren’t on the same page. The unit dev team needs to get on the map dev teams page.
the state of sieges in tw3 is so bad on campaign that I didn't even realise that demons had cool siege towers. I've either been player and therefore not bothered building them or the AI literally never attacks walled settlements.
@@IsaiahDavis-i6l that’s not the only solution, just have a slot on the blue line that gives siege equipment without waiting. And ais attacked walled settlements in 2 so it wasn’t an issue.
I do like cathay a lot. I hope they get proper models in the Old World. i'm also holding off playing a new Cathay campaign until the new DLC drops. whenever that might be.

I feel Leadership values in this mod are too high. Basic peasant spears hold the line forever while being surrounded by high level demons. That just not right. It completely negates Terror tactics and makes it way too grindy.

I know these battles have to be a pain to organize and execute well, so my appreciation to everyone involved for another great theme battle.
Still annoys me that Miao & Zhao don’t have breath attacks despite them having combat animations that show them breathing them.
Maybe it's to differentiate them from actual dragons without human form. Wyverns don't have a breath attack either.

While I don't like the mod in particular, it's nice to see a MP siege battle played out instead of endless field battles. Well played to all.

The dragons are literally children of a god. It makes sense they'd fuck up a couple deamons.

That’s been a problem in Warhammer since game 1, tell me right now would you be happy being forced to wait 1-3 turns PER walled settlement?
