About Archer: Archer is designing and developing electric vertical takeoff and landing aircraft for use in urban air mobility networks. Archer’s mission is to unlock the skies, freeing everyone to reimagine how they move and spend time. Archer's team is based in Santa Clara, CA. (NYSE: $ACHR)
I honestly feel, as a marketing strategy, building relationships with tv/film networks to start maybe incorporating this new urban air mobility concept into films, with possible exclusive relationships to help put the brand out there and build up the consumers’ subconscious so the general public will be easier to accept this new concept AND THE BRAND!
What an incredible day first seeing the Maker fly and then the unveiling of the Midnight eVTOL. Archer, you wowed a lot of people in that reveal.
Our team is working extremely hard every day toward commercializing our aircraft. It was exciting to finally get to share some of the great progress we've made with the world at the Open House Event. Thanks for coming on this journey with us as we help write a new chapter in aviation history!
@@ArcherAviation It's fascinating to see the route you chose versus your competitors. I'm excited to have followed you since day and you didn't disappoint with this reveal. Cheers!
There seem to be only a few people who can truly shape our future, and these people are CLEARLY among them. The rest of us will just get to the airport faster with less carbon and more safety. Thank You to all of you creatives at Archer. I am proud to have helped shape the VFX for the maker roll out in LA in 2021. I will always be a fan. Bravo!
Did you do the VFX for hyperloop too?
I just dont see this solving a 15 mile problem affordably for 4 passengers. What is the projected cost per unit and how is that investment going to be returned.
Impressive. Under rated.
Thank you!
If there's a catastrophic engine failure on one wing and the aircraft rolls in that direction, how do you prevent the still - operating props from cutting the emergency parachute off?
easy: the thing cannot get off the ground with a commercially viable payload which is why it's all CGI and jump cuts. so, it's as safe as the hyperloop you might say. this whole thing is an idiot investor magnet and not much else.
its crazy how electric RC modelers can relate so well this aircraft looks oldschool
Automatic drones for the survey and maintenance of durian orchards and
I want to join the team Archer
Very cool 👌
✈🔋
Very solid design philosophy.
Theres no video of it flying yet so..
Why not 2 wings to make the long wing shorter
some people have really cool jobs....then there's the rest of us 😀
We have an incredible team of inspiring people doing inspired work here at Archer 😎
:)
I get told that a lot ha. Depending on the person.
@Archer - Impressive team no doubt, the experience alone is next level and almost unmatched in this new industry. Major props. You and (china company i wont name) are really taking off with the evtol projects lately 🤯
Air taxis taking off 2024
For sure. Prediction confirmed ha.
First I just want to congratulate you for this huge step in modern technology, my question what are your batteries made out of? With EV batteries the biggest concern is 1) labor practices for mining cobalt; 2) environmental impacts of extracting lithium; 3) sufficient supply of materials for EV batteries; 4) carbon emissions from battery manufacture; and 5) toxic waste from disposal of used batteries. How are you taking a step in sustainability? So far you’re headed in the right direction of decreasing aviation from contributing to CO2 emissions.
Problem is this is another transportation method only available to the rich a normal person working 9-5 making 25 an hour won't be able to afford it
Comrade, all new innovation initially starts out prohibitively expensive but eventually gets cheaper and rolls out to the proletariat. So you’ll eventually be able to fly to your party meetings.
What is the difference between this and a helicopter?
Electric and Gas, duh
Differences are many. The payload, maintainability, ease of flying, cost, noise, and most importantly safety.
Helicopters can lift a person.
I was looking to buy stock since I heard Marc Lore was involved with this, but the CEO has no passion whatsoever... ditch him.
As a private pilot, I can tell you that propellers are expensive and worrisome.
Having 12 large rotors for 20 minute trips where you're spending a lot of time near the ground is a bad idea. The propellers will be subject to debris animals, and PEOPLE!
I appreciate the work they may be doing to furthering EVTOL software, batteries, and motor efficiency. But, this is little more than an overgrown quadcopter strapped to a wing.
There is an answer:
LILIUM's architecture makes sense.
Lilium has abandoned the awkward, heavy, LOUD, and dangerous props for ducted fans that sound like an ocean wave instead of a bunch of traffic coppers in a race.
Archer needs to catch up!
This vertical takeoff aircraft has way too many propellers over the cabin for me!!
So you all developed a vary expensive animation? Cool. Way to spend investor money!
So Americans will create a fancy helicopter but wont build trains or public transportation systems that actually work. Got it :)
JOBY copy cats.
Archer has been chasing JOBY's tail for years, note the similar design and passenger total number is the same, interesting coincidence's or not.
The never showing real proof it can take a person a mile away.
Electric plane in a bad rain storm with lightening???? 😅 Are you nuts? Cold weather is dangerous as hell for batteries. Crazy death trap, what about holding? Dangerous battery drain?
NO THANKS
Okay Mr luddite
There are people that refused to except what the future will bring, they want to live in a stone age 😂. Good Jobs for those can create new future products.
