It's good see ole friends have fun! There's nothing like having a friend that loves that old iron like you do. I can't believe you two got that truck on that little trailer!
Brings back a few memories. I can't tell you how many times I have moved a vehicle (or loaded on a trailer) without brakes and had a helper throwing blocks of wood.
that chain on the tire is a slick trick. i'll have to remember that. thanx! it's nice when yer new project can load itself. that's a rare occurrence fer me. that's why i have a 12,000 lb. electric winch on my trailer.
back on my grandfathers farm I got to drive his 26 chevrolet farm truck. it started life as a single wheels in the rear 3/4 ton but with duals and overload springs and a dump box we would haul as much as 5 ton of soy beans. that truck was slow but hauled anything and never broke anything. brakes that did not work were its demise. It got replaced in 1960 buy a used 55 chevy farm truck. the thing I especially remember about the 55(6 cylinder) was the way the clutch would chatter when backing up.
Just come across this video what a great team you two make ,knowing what you are doing and having a laugh at the same time as getting the job done. Reminds me of me and my Late old mate Roy who sadly passed away last year at the grand old age of 80 . Thanks for your videos they make me smile . Ken in the UK
I believe that's about as much truck as you could get onto that particular trailer. 😲😂 I hope it was as much fun to do as it was to watch! Thanks for taking us along. 😁
I can't wait for this build! I'm enjoying the ride already and it's not even home yet. Keep the vids coming and thanks for all you do for us guys out here not living the dream!!
Hi there Ken Scott here that was an awesome two-part video there you in Kirkwood looks like a couple of 15 year old kids having fun getting that truck out of there that was an awesome shot that thing coming out of woods on the trailer looks like some mighty fine iced tea is that a special recipe
TheFurriestOne … A friend of mine owns a rampside and I have a Corvan 95. Ya don't see too many here in the northeast (Ct) other than the 4 or 5 within our Corvair club.
I was thinking about you this morning when I set my pants on fire during a welding project. Kerwood holding the hood up with his head is classic. The only thing missing is Brown with a can of gas!
That’s pretty awesome intro there. It would take me days to dig up footage like that. Also driving that old truck on the trailer is pretty awesome too.
Anyone else see that accident in Mass.that involved Motorcycle Riders? 7 died and 3 injured last I heard. The Truck that hit the motorcycles head on was hauling a trailer, a huge trailer. Was the accident caused by the Trailer or some other problem with the truck? Very sad to see. Those Bikers were doing a fund raiser for ?. I read the bikers where vets. I haven't heard if there is a GoFundMe Page set up for them and their families but I'm sure they need our help. What a fine group of people, RIP!
it's a good thing that being addicted to old iron is not illegal , or we might be cell mates , but maybe we should start a group called O.I.A "old iron anonymous" LOL
awesome ! G M C put a roll- off bed with20+ ft, deck it would blow people,s mind! fresh head gasket, some modern axles, put her back to work hauling more vintage iron!!!
Ken , Every time I see an old workhorse like that truck, It reminds me of one of my favorite songs. It it by an Australian singer named Slim Dusty. The songs title is , Here lies an old workhorse, look it up on RUclips. I think you will like it.
@@1963impala2drWaylonWire Glad you liked it. I like your music too. I grew up on, and still listen to mostly bluegrass music. The Carter family, the Stanley brothers and Bill Monroe. The other day I watched one of your videos where you sang a diesel on my tail by Jim and Jesse. Still is playing in my head !
You know, that is very familiar... Myself and my Best friend Bubba pull stuff like this all the time. Backed the trailer into a garage, jacked and blocked then towed it home.
I wanted this GMC cab for my GMC v12 but..I hear ya... its hard to dismantle an old original truck that runs so well.. yet.. as it is... its only good for "looking at" not driving. hard to justify spending 20 grand to restore a truck thats worth 6 grand when its done that you can only drive in parades

Love '37-'38 GMC trucks . So very few restored!
Hopefully, since this one is so intact, it will get restored and not trashed.
Just barely enough trailer. Glad you got it loaded with no injuries.

I wouldn't believe it drove on the trailer if I hadn't seen it myself! Be Well Ken and Kerwood

"Have FUN In The Sun in '61!" (Read the sign in the Chevy dealer's window.)
Wow talk about an adventure in moving. You and Kerwood sure have had another good one. Now to just keep it on the trailer and get it home.
Old iron and old friends, living the life!
Man, love the styling on those old Chevys! That ramp-side is wild, never seen one like that before! Thanks for including that vintage ad!

Great intro Waylon!!! I think you two men could build the wall at the border with a few more tools!!!
Love the Corvair Rampside! Todd the retired trucker.
That intro i thought this was old farts and cold starts 😂
Well that went smooooth!
SHORE DID!
That's pretty sweet right there. Sho Nuff!

Glad you got it. That's a cool old truck
I can't remember how many times I've held up hoods, cowls, etc., with my head. Works.

Amazing! Rolled right up there!
You know, if you're gonna keep draggin these big 'uns home, you're gonna need a long 5th wheel trailer to accommodate them, lol!
Hey Ken. You 2 guys are just having too much FUN. I'm not there and I have a big grin on my face. Thanks for sharing.
What a team, what a team well done lads
it's a good thing that being addicted to old iron is not illegal , or we might be cell mates , but maybe we should start a group called O.I.A "old iron anonymous" LOL
I'm afraid I'd have a lot to share at a O.I.A. meeting. I am sure I'll need a sponsor or two. LOL
Thanks to share.

Sad but true, costs more than it's worth. Rat rod wins............that 12cyl. Needs a good home.
