Jamaican Easter Bun, Spice Bun ( yeast version) Recipe by Toya’s Kitchen

- Ingredients
8 cups flour
2 tbsp yeast
1 tsp baking powder
2 tsp cinnamon powder
2 tsp ground ginger
2 tsp nutmeg
2 tsp salt
2 tsp mixed spice
4 tbsp shortening
2 tbsp butter
2 bottles of dragon stout
1 cup sugar if you like it sweeter add two cups
2 tbsp burnt sugar or molasses
2 tbsp vanilla
1/2 cup golden raisins
1/2 cup black raisins
1/2 cups cherry
glaze
3 tbsp honey
2 tbsp butter

Can you pkease say what liquid did you use to bloom the yrast with along with the sugar

Question: what s the oven temperature? How much water is added to the yeast to proof?
1/4 cup water and the temperature is 350 degrees
For the yeast, I got the sugar and yeast but what did you add to it? was it Dragon? if so how much and was it warm?
No, I add water to active the yeast, then add it to the mixture

Yes you need to just to be sure it is good
I'd rather not use eggs. How much yeast do I put as I missed that part of the ingredients??
