A friend of mine has a 6-yr old granddaughter, who’s watched this episode somewhere around 8 times! She says she thinks you’re hiding food in your beard. So far, she hasn’t been able to see how you do it. 😉
Pineapple is typically on a mixed grill where Gammon is served, Gammon is normally very salty and the sweet pineapple counteracts the saltiness. Good win Adam as always..

Strictly speaking, a gammon is the bottom end of a whole side of bacon (which includes the back leg), ham is just the back leg cured on its own. Now.. back in the older days, butchers caught wise to the fact that most people couldn’t tell the difference so they substituted Gammon for cheaper cuts of meat, and they did this by soaking the replacement meat is salt water or storing in salt. Remember, in the old days (per- refrigerator) .. the only way to save and ‘cure’ meat was to store it in salt.. which both killed the bacteria (most of it) but the downside was the salt taste.. so then pineapple slices were served to equate the salt. Back then, English desert menus were cheese choices …cheese counter acts the plaque in your teeth so in the days before tooth paste high class restaurants had a cheese selection with varying crackers and biscuits, Even today, if you look long and hars enough younwill still find restaurants that offer a cheese selection instead of desserts. It is these ‘cheesy restaurants’ (excuse the pun) that i like to go to,, and they are the last legs on what is a very long storey Sadly restaurants with a cheese board selection for desert is .. an end of an era,

And your fiance is a real winner. As we say in the USA you definately should make her an honest woman. I am a Florida native coming at you from Dresden, Germany.
I had stomach surgery several years ago and can only eat tiny portions of anything, a mini kids meal will fill me up and even then I will take up to an hour to eat it. My guilty pleasure is watching competitive eating videos and my inner oinker lives vicariously through watching BeardMeatsFood who is by far my favourite to watch as he decimates volumes of food that would tucker out an entire family hah! Nice going, agree that those onion rings look lush.
I would have to say for 30 quid, with the steak looking like that and lamb, etc. I'd say that's a pretty fair deal on a meal. Great job smashing the "record" XD
I hate mushrooms with a passion, I would usually ask them to substitute it with extra food, if making the challenger harder for me to avoid eating mushrooms I'd happily do it every time lol

Pineapple on ham, gammon or bacon. That's the sweet and salt combo, that does actually work well. Also pineapple has an enzyme called bromelain that breaks down collagen and makes meat more tender.

I'm originally from Malton and like to visit the Wentworth when I'm there.The staff are friendly and the foods great but it can be a bit Slaughterd Lamb(American werewolf in London)when you first walk in.
Looked easy and then looked like they kept topping up your plate. The only way I could finish that is with 'Big Daddy's' Brown sauce. I need to eat more
After the last couple of weeks watching what’s going on in Ukraine! Was nice to watch some light entertainment. You should never doubt the beardstar!! I would go there just for the onion rings… thanks buddy keep it up…👍
Pineapple is one of those things that seems to go well with meals... just enough sweet and tang to really add to foods. Finally tried it on pizza, can confirm it is actually good. I don't care how people eat their steak... as long as they don't tell me how to eat it LOL

Pineapple is (in my opinion) one of only a few fruits that grill well. They probably added it to this grill challenge for that reason.
