The Wuthering Heights edition had me fooled. I didn't recognize that that's a house on the top and immediately thought, "is this Lord of the Rings?" because I thought it was Mount Doom. 😂😂
I thought the same, was sure it was Lord of the Rings😅 As someone from Yorkshire, the moors don't look as mountainous as that so it threw me off

Wuthering Hieghts was my first guess, but then 4 other books came to mind almost immediately. Love that cover.

one of my favorite covers- the one that comes to mind instantly- is the Modern Library edition of Madame Bovary. I'm a sucker for watercolor illustrations!

I noted Carolyn is obssessed with covers. I'd be too, but unfortunately we mostly have penguin classics where I live and some classics are not even available. So, my main focus is getting the book in whatever the cover.

A mostly fluff video like this depends on the players to make it watchable and entertaining. Emma and Carolyn are both lovely and charming and funny and have good chemistry together. Fun to watch. Thanks ladies.
i really like the cover of annihilation farrar straus and girox edition, the way the title is separated into four three-letter lines is cool, the plant-thing and the dragonfly are drawn in a really nice style, and the book itself feels very nice to hold (the texture of paper.. the textures on the cover... oh its great). it also was a miracle to find in a thrift shop bc i dont live anywhere near english speaking countries
i also really like the designs of all the books by макс фрай by the publisher амфора. the main two series are very clearly distinguished by the main colours of the covers (orange and green) and the little black illustrations they put on each book are fantastic imo

Obscure editions but 9 of them i actually recognised, so much more difficult than Emmas pick for sure though. Because of the weird Karamazov cover at first i thought the Perfect Chemistry romance one was going to be an obscure Romeo and Juliet version haha

I only got 4 of these lmao. In my defence, I've never seen any of these editions and some covers could work for a number of books, but I did get the ones giving clues to the actual story -------------------- (spoilers, I guess: ---------------------------------------- Great expectations, Wuthering heights, A clockwork orange :))) tho I was incredulous lol, and Dune... there were a couple more that were 'cluesy' but I haven't read them)

I only got _A Clockwork Orange_ because it looked too orange to be a Japanese Sun. I've never seen any of the others.
_Under the Volcano_ was my first guess for _Wuthering Heights_, but I would have been surprised if that was what it was based on the clues.
The first two rooms did not feature a room... good thing A Room of One's Own did.
