I’m 51 and stopped playing hard ball at 32 picked up golf at 38 and I would say baseball and the reason why is because a baseball is coming at you different speeds and rotation a pitcher can control to keep you off balance.A golf ball is sitting still and once you control a smooth swing you can adjust
I don’t think you’re comparing both sports with a similar standard. The vast majority of golfers play on courses used for competitive high school level playing.
MLB pitchers, at BEST, average at least one base runner per inning (that’s one out of four). That’s the very best pitchers in any given year, and that’s versus a pool of approximately 1200 players, meaning a greater disparity in talent level from top to bottom. This means there’s an even higher percentage of base runners per inning as pitcher talent level and performance goes lower. At minimum, 25% of players are getting on base versus that very best pitcher in the world.
Compare that to trying to get birdie on the most difficult holes in tour level golf. Hole number four at Pinehurst No. 2 comes to mind, and I’m sure there are many harder, especially when you consider par 3s that are 230+. The best 150 players in the world don’t even think about birdie on a hole like that, they try to get par, and feel good about it when they do. The average Joe golfer would be lucky to score double bogey on that hole if not worse.
Bottom line, the standard of success is not equally measured by most people making the 95mph fastball analogy, while ignoring the fact that even really good college level pitchers throw under 90mph, and high school players rarely break 85. Then use the “I can play golf well” argument while secretly taking four or five mulligans per round and improving their lie every other shot.
😂 great vlog! I have asked a friend who played college and simi-pro baseball and he said golf was harder to him though you have to be a little more athletic in baseball, obviously. But he also said with golf you can play a lot longer in life. He was a catcher so his knees are not in very good condition. I like to see your dad out there with you! My oldest played golf in hs..Loved watching her grow in the game!

Zero chance baseball is harder than golf, ZERO!
And zero chance baseball is harder than hockey. I’ve played all 3 extensively. I haven’t had my teeth knocked out playing baseball or golf. I’ve never lost sleep night before a golf match or a ball game. Hockey is a different animal. Very physical, a big intimidation component to the game. Having to fight guys that out weigh you by 20 pounds and 6 inches taller.

@@ussflagg2 they are all difficult. Golf at the pro level is gruelling. Mentally demanding more than other sports. Physically it’s not that hard really but keeping emotions in check is a difficult thing.

Every high school level baseball player could w practice learn to play golf pretty decently, even scratch if practice and take enough instruction . Very few high school golfers could learn to hit a baseball. They are 2 different great games but hitting a baseball is harder.

Having played both, and having played baseball first, transitioning to golf grom baseball is a hard thing to do. But golf is way harder you have to be precise in golf not so much in baseball

Play a lot of golf, hockey and ball and as a whole golf and hockey are harder, but hitting a baseball off a real decent pitcher is the hardest individual thing to do in any sport.

Did you fix your Camera? It look like you had a few issues. Your Mom looks to be working hard, maybe a little down time with her would be good. How do you hit such good shots on the first hole? Nice course it looked a litttle wet. I bet if you did best ball on the green you'd make par or the one over. Your worst ball is still pretty good. I know your a better player. I like the pep-talk.
