I declined and drove them to their accommodation - and I can confirm that Arj is exceptionally funny, witty and charming even off stage.. He's a terrifically sweet gentleman.

Arj is more a comedian that relies upon material then crowd interaction. Some one like Jimmy Carr loves talking to hecklers, it all depens on the type of comedian.
Jimmy Carr literally ASKS people to heckle during his show as part of his bit. I find it kinda lame and not really a "heckle", but it is funny most of the time. It just doesn't belong in "Comedians vs Hecklers" type of videos I watch.

I just saw him this past weekend at one of the best and smallest venues in the bay area! Rooster T Feathers in Sunnyvale, Ca... He was balls against the wall friggen hysterical! He had my laughing to hard I was crying! Always a great time when this happens!

The comedians that are really good at dealing with hecklers always turn them into the joke, and manipulate the situation to make them look even funnier. I think when comedians start getting pissed off and losing their cool is when it makes the 'burns' less amusing, 'cause you know they've changed their attitude.
That said, I think his line "At first, I was the only one who hated you" is brilliant! Something witty but not too aggressive like that is to ME a better way to handle it.
