Mario Kart Double Dash has been forgotten because of Mario Kart 8, several kids play, and they have never played or known another Mario Kart Game. Just we, younger players, that played on childhood, just we know that never will exist a better Mario Kart than Double Dash. It's by this cause and anothers that this game shows the EPIC. Of course, Rainbow Road never will be forgotten
This is freaking excelent. It seens to be toned down a bit in terms of difficulty but it's been given even more charm that I donmt care. If GCN Rainbow Road gets in Mario Kart 8's Booster Course Pass I'm actually gonna have a menal breakdown. Perferably the epic kind.
As much as I love what they did with N64 Rainbow Road, I would've loved to see this get remade for Mario Kart 8 because I think they could've used the antigravity in some interesting places. Hopefully we'll get something pretty damn cool when this does eventually get remade.

Tbh, I think remaking MKDD’s RR would make it too easy. Part of the reason MKDD’s RR was so difficult is because the vehicles in that game were so different from basically every other Mario kart’s vehicles. But just from seeing this, the improved vehicle handling from MKDD to MKWii (among other things) negates A LOT of the challenge from MKDD’s RR
Looks like they made the road a bit wider and fixed the weird thingy around first turn which makes you fly all over. I wont get destroyed as much as usual in manual Sprinter now :P!
The Nintendo mariokart team has an unhealthy obsession with remaking a certain part of the N64 Rainbow road theme. Only MKWII and MKSC don’t have the theme (SMK doesn’t count, it came out before MK64)
How do you do this? How do you make these custom race tracks? So many Gamecube courses I've wanted to play on the Wii - especially this one (and Wario colosseum). Awesome.
Not a fan of the clouds. They need to be sparkly and nice just like the Double Dash version. By clouds, I mean the objects in the sky, such as the Bowser shell, banana, bob-omb, shell etc.
Tell Nintendo that look, You guys are still in a 20th century world doing service to a 21st century customer. I played Mario Kart 8 and that game is an overrated crusty old game that desperately needs a track editor and more content. Look at ModNation Racers. People made amazing tracks that puts the tracks the developers made to shame. And I've played ModNation Racers way more then I've played Mario Kart 8. I BLEW through MK8 in a few days, and got sick of it. Nintendo just doesn't get it when it comes to our world of gaming, where gamers have proven that they are capable of creating things.
JDonahue79 at least Mario kart 8 deluxe is coming out for the switch, it adds new characters and new tracks. I really want a Mario Kart Maker to be released though
