actually more like 4 battle of Kursk the Germans captured it in 1941 Soviets recaptured it in early 1943 and Germans attempted to recapture it in 1943 as well and now in 2024 Ukraine attempts to capture it

Довольно забавно наблюдать как количество украинских или российских ботов растет взависимости от положения дел на фронте. Когда ВС РФ неудержимо толкало ВСУ на Запад комментарии были заполошены про-российским содержанием. А после атаки ВСУ на Курск все в точности да наоборот. Да, и в прям забавно, как людям в целом наплевать на конфликт, но когда происходит что то значимое они активно бегут это комментировать, будто понимают всю тяжесть положения для обеих сторон, но это не так

Balkan Blogger ignored several russian advances in Dombas today!
Same with many Ukrainian advances throughout the year - as far as I'm aware Balkan mapper is a single person, no matter how hard he tries, he simply cannot get every advance in within 24 hours. Sometimes he reports advances that were later confirmed to be false, sometimes he doesn't report advances that were confirmed. Even so, there doesn't seem to be any confirmed advances in the Donbas for either side within the last 10 hours.

The offensive of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Kursk region, according to German military experts, can lead to long-term setbacks for Ukraine.
Short-term successes can turn into defeat, since the expansion of the front is beneficial to Russia, which has large resources.
It is unlikely that Ukraine will be able to hold the conquered positions due to logistical difficulties and lack of grip of the pichota. And Kiev's hope of withdrawing Russian soldiers from Donbass is unlikely, which makes the current operation very risky.

Nothing much was going on. The total change in the line of control since October was about the same as what the Russians lost in Kursk. Stalemates are boring and don't give you much to talk about except rates of attrition.

Wait, have there been other updates to the front elsewhere, like Ukrianian or Russian advances in places like Niu York, or can Russia or Ukraine not advance there? Or can you only keep up with the advances in Kursk, cause man that’s fair you did a lot for that region today. If however there are no other advances that’s pretty interesting, cause historically such advances elsewhere have been Russians slowly moving toward objectives. They have now stopped all that and are entirely focused on holding their positions till they get control back of Kursk, which says a lot as to how scared Putin and his generals are about this battle.

While the incursion into Kursk is taking many POWs and causing many political issues for the Putin regime and curtailing offensive action within Ukraine, I don't really think it's going to cause a military problem for Russia unless it becomes about six times the size. And I think Ukraine has about a third as many troops committed as it would take for that to happen. As it is, I think they stall out with around 1000 square kilometers taken and complicate attempts for Russia to force NATO to accept a status quo antebellum ending to the war, but do not do anything that threatens to win the war outright.
Ukraine is still expanding its control as we speak, and has yet to deploy their reserves. Meanwhile, Russia is scrambling troops from all over the world to desperately stop the breakthrough. Russia pulled their troops from Africa, sent troops from Kaliningrad, from Murmansk, from all over Ukraine...about 10.000 Russian troops are claimed to be in the Kursk area now, with almost half being conscripts (aka kids with no combat experience or training).

С последним вынужден не согласится, основная волна эвакуации уже прошла, возможно скоро будут активно применять вооружение массового поражения. ВСУ довольно грамотно продумали операцию. Хотя мне все ещё кажется, что вокруг Курска наделали ну уж слишком много шума, хотя возможно на это и был расчёт. На глобальной карте прогресс кажется меньше, чем я думал.
