As medullary carcinoma mostly involves para follicular cells n not cuboid cells which R involved in t3 t4 synthesis...as a result thyroid tests R normal.

Because they affect the parafollicular cells but not the follicular ones, which are responsible for the thyroid hormones.

T3 T4 should be normal as its Medullary Carcinoma involving Parafolicular or C cells, sparing Folicular cells....Source of t3 t4 is Folicular not Parafolicular.thats why t3 t4 must be Normal here.
