WOW!😍😍😍these hearts r amazing! So pretty, dainty, & sweet! Your project shares are sooo good! Great explanations and tips and tricks! (You totally sold this die...it’s a must have!) love your style and your Hello Kitty love!😻❤️💘💗🤍💘🤍💗💘❤️
Thank you for your tutorial. I recently purchased this die set but had no idea how to create the rosette. You have such a creative eye, your pieces are gorgeous!!
Thank you so much Grace for your wonderful words, I’m glad that you found it helpful 💞 Having a heart rosette is the best thing ever as they never come out the same when you try to make them on your own.
Hi Diem. I'm so glad I found this tutorial because I have struggled so making rosettes (I must be the only one because everyone seems to be making and using them on their projects...lol). You've explained it so well and now I feel confident that I can nail it! I also love your embellishment ideas. I too have loads of paper straws that I need to use up. Thanks again. I love your videos and style of crafting :) Laura x
Thank you very much Laura! Once you get the hang of it, you’ll want to make a bunch just to have on hand. You’ll see that it’s quite simple. If you make hearts with arrows, don’t put your arrows backwards like I did 😂 Happy crafting!
@@CutesyShelf Hi Diem. I'm glad you too have confidence in my ability to get the hang of making rosettes 😂 I really do want to make a bunch so I can use them as embellishments on some of my projects. I lol'd at your tip about not putting the arrows backwards on the paper straws! 😂😂😂 Thanks again!
Thank you for taking us step-by-step after you showed us your examples. I have to say, it really made a heck of a difference when you had layered the red to your heart. It really stood out. It’s like you see the first one without the layer and think it’s really pretty and then when you put that red in there, wow! Double Wow! Gorgeous. It just takes it to a new level. I am really enjoying your videos, and it’s a guarantee to get a smile from me when I see that you’ve put a new one out. Have you tried making that box from Midodo yet? I’m sorry, I couldn’t help but ask. Take your time, there isn’t a rush, I just couldn’t help myself by being nosy.wishing you and all an amazing crafting day. Be well and stay smiling 🎈
Hi Ma’iingankwe! Thank you for your sweet compliments, I appreciate it! Just love getting more bang for my buck. I’m not sure if you got my reply regarding that box. I did try to work with it immediately after I got it but to be honest...there’s a flaw in the design 🙈🙊 It was easy to put together but doesn’t work that great...only with thin papers. I would have to tweak some measurements 😂
@@CutesyShelf - you’re lucky, I couldn’t even put it together, and I made my husband take a look and he’s usually really good with that kind of stuff, but he was lost. I probably put it together wrong in the first place if he was lost. I do know they use thinner paper in China for crafting, so maybe that was it. If you ever figure it out, I’d love to know so I could make them. I have more faith in you than me since you have experience backing you up. Plus, you’re no dummy. I’m sorry I never received your reply. It’s weird, for the most part I get them, but some always seem to sneak past me. Wishing you an amazing Sunday. @@maiingan07 Its such a cute idea but this box requires you to be super accurate in putting it together. It doesn’t help that the fold lines are so faint. I don’t blame you for not being able to put it together. Don’t worry, I’ll give it another look but it shouldn’t be this complicated 😂. With a Nicole Silhouette designed die you can put it together with your eyes closed and they are easy. This is not the case 😂
@@CutesyShelf I’m thinking of going over there to talk to the owner and lay this out for them. To me, she seems open to a bit of criticism as long as it helps her in the end. I won’t do this in the comments. I think I have her email address, if not, in the ‘contact seller’ area in AliExpress. My only problem is I won’t be able to be specific since it’s been months since I’ve tried. Dang it, I’d have to try and make it again and I have no time with Valentine’s Day right around the corner. I will do it after. If you don’t hear from me 3-4 days after Valentine’s Day, hit me up. I do have memory problems. So, right now I have hearts, glitter along with pink, red and black ribbons all over my work area. I even got a bit of glitter on my pup when she nudged to tell me it was dinner time. (I can set my clock with her.) Does your work area look an explosion, or are you all done with Valentines Day? I swear, next year I’m going to start when everyone else starts theirs and not at the last minute. Wishing you a fabulous day 🎈
@@maiingan07 Yes my craft area looks like a bomb blast right now as I’m working on a last minute project which I hope to get a video up tomorrow. Your pup sounds so cute! I actually tried making the box 3 times and had to abandon the project. To be honest I previously purchased another one of their dies and that was also an abandoned project as well. I think it’s the design. The lid part should be slightly bigger for it to glide smoothly. Unless they have a new designer, I wouldn’t buy their dies unfortunately. I hope you can put together something else for Valentines and have some fun. You still have time to make the most of it. Even I’m still crafting Valentines. Have a great night!

Thank you so much for sharing such a detailed tutorial! You did a great job explaining how you put these beautiful hearts together. All of your samples are gorgeous!
Thanks for the tutorial.. I have the large one and I used hot glue to the center and it kept popping open .. I think my glue was not hot enough .. I will try it with wet glue .. nice idea using the crepe paper and straws and the layering ...TFS
Thank you Sheila for all you lovely words! You’re right about the hot glue needing to heat up for awhile before it becomes more effective. I think the wet glue will do the trick nicely once it is fully dry.
Hi Diem, I so happy you made this tutorial!! I had to come back and watch it when I was ready to make the heart rosettes! Has anyone told you today how amazing you are!!! Big hugs! Angie

Hi Diem 🙂 My Goodness Girl .. You are so talented .. I just Love Your work .. Thank You for the tutorial too .. I'm going to go now and order a heart rosette die cut .. LOL .. Hugs 💕
😮 crepe paper rosettes? Now I need this die too. TFS this heart shaped dies are a little finicky to work with, I have the Waffle Flower ones for a very long time, but love the scallops on this one.
and if you open the layers of the crepe paper you are gonna get a heart ball or a 3D rosette Thank you Didi to inspire me i am going to do one and share how funny .Crafty hugs xoxoxo
Thank you! Yes, for the vellum ones you just need to cut them once. I forgot to mention that the vellum may rip because it’s delicate to begin with and the heart shape stretches the paper to the max. In order to fix or minimize the tears, just add a bead of glue along the ridges on the back of the rosette to hold the paper together. I hope that makes sense.
Thank you very much Mary Kaye! I like to use mixed media glue by Recollections which I get from Michaels. It's my go to glue because not only because I can find it locally but it doesn't wrinkle the paper, it doesn't have a bad glue smell, it provides a strong hold, dries clear and gives you enough wiggle room before it dries. I also really like the somewhat fine tip. Can you tell I love it lol? I can't really compare it to other popular adhesives such as Art Glitter or Bearly Arts glue as those are too expensive to ship to Canada.
Hi Norma! I use 65lb paper. I find that these rosettes stretch the paper to the max so they do tear easily. I would recommend squishing the folds together nicely before flattening it out into the rosette. That way you don’t have to pinch certain folds later and it reduces tearing. It’s better explained in the video at 15:50. I hope this helps.
So to make crepe paper rosettes I’m gonna cut 20 pcs of crepe paper for each die then line die on top and cut then glue to each panel in between then glue to form rosette ?
Hi Sheila, yes you would need to cut at least 6 layers of the crepe paper. Put your die on top and run it through your die cut machine. And then add glue to the end flaps only...add glue in between each layer so that it doesn’t come apart. I hope that helps.
