All aspiring cinematographers need to watch this, because some DPs put their nose into everything, not just suggest they start directing at times and that's disruptive and offensive. These guys are the greats of this field and we can see why.

Why do DP's (and directors too) operate the camera. Don't we have assigned Camera Operators for the job?

I like how the Director leaves randomly on big shows too. I though it was just a low budget shit show kinda thing.
Why is the director not there with you? What’s the point of being in another room looking at a monitor... Pure laziness.
I am DP and when the director is far away in the village, I have no problem talking and directing the actors. The director is hiding anyways, and the actor is desperate for feedback... Many directors now day should just be ether producer or DPs themselves, but money and fame are strong incentive to the psychopaths...

@Irene Esterlis Totaly the opposite, I am not sabotaging. I am saving the movie from a directors who are in title only and don't care to give any direction whatever. Directors that don't care to direct are sabotaging the movie, I am saving their ass and the movies itself.
