Strawberry Smell - Episode 12
Asli (Demet Ozdemir) is a young and beautiful girl who works at a pastry shop and loves making delicious cakes. While she is delivering a strawberry birthday cake to the customer, she is involved in a car accident and ruins her cake.
The person who is driving the car is Burak (Yusuf Cim), a famous womanizer belonging to a rich family. They start discussing from the moment they bump into each other and wish not to see each other again.
Since Asli could not deliver the birthday cake, she is fired as soon as she goes back to the pastry shop. She becomes so desperate and does not know how to a find a new job again.
At that time, her friend Gonca (Zeynep Tugce Bayat) who is working at the same pastry shop accepts the job offer that she has taken from a big hotel in Bodrum. She persuades Asli to go to Bodrum together so that they could earn enough money while working in the hotel during the high season.
Next day, Asli and her friend Gonca fly to Bodrum and unfortunately, find out that the hotel where they are going to work has been closed. While they are wondering where to stay, they find a 5-star hotel whose new owners are about to recruit new personnel.
So, Asli and Gonca decide to apply for a job in that hotel and stay there if they are hired. However, Asli does not know that the owner of the hotel is Burak whom she never wants to meet again. Their lives intersect once more.
In strawberry smell (cilek kokusu) tv series story, you will watch the lives of teenagers and see a relationship of opposite characters. Will Asli and Burak get along with each other very well? Will Asli forget her platonic love and start to fall in love with Burak? Will Burak find true love after he has gone out with many girls?

Many people are talking about Asli that she don't have mouth to answer Çağla, the answer is she is a middle class girl and also wants to protect her mother's pride, these girls at first don't have enough confidence to speak against these taunts but later they learns to stand for themselves, it will take time. At some point you will see a different Asli, I am sure.

Asli does not have to listen to Cagal at all. She just have to walk away. Asli already heard Burak tell Cagal he is not in to her and ended their relationship. Asli needs to just ignore Cagal and stand up for herself.

She needs to raise the bar of her self-esteem and be confident and be smart, use common sense regardless of her social status 😡

I’m SO glad Burak publicly announced to everyone at the party that they were OVER. Glad she was embarrassed. She deserved it. But Asli should have known that Çagla was lying about everything. And since she loved Burak, she should have believed him and left with him, not Volkan. Why don’t they don’t tell Volkan that they’re in love??
But Burak himself didn't give her the confidence to fully reject Çağla's words as he played along with Çağla's game at 1:18:20 onwards. She literally dragged him to the table and claimed that the party was his idea, which he never refuted or said a word.

The fact that asli can't defend herself is so annoying
It annoys me that she showed her character only with Burak. Although, this demonstrates that their communication was immediately on the basis of equality, and not like with Volkan, whom Asli looked at as something unearthly.
But why couldn't she just tell Chagla (11 ep) that she's wrong, stand her ground. Why didn't she say anything when Volkan lied to Eda about them being together? Why did she so easily agree to celebrate their "reconciliation"? She was in a relationship with Burak, but for a long time she trusted Volkan more than Burak. Very useless.
Çağla needs some dignity. I'm getting second-hand embarrassment watching her beg Burak not to leave her.

I love Can and Demet together. I'm really getting upset with Burak for putting Asli in these situations. Doesn't he get that her mom could lose her job and they are homeless. Because of him Asli doesn't have a job anymore. He is smothering her
Burak takes Asli seriously and in these episodes he still thought that his parents would easily accept Asli. Therefore, he does not perceive it as something terrible.
But only later, when his parents found out that he was dating a waitress, Burak became much more careful. But Asli became brave 😅
