I believe that the German National Anthem is one of the best and most emotional there is. My mother was German and I was fortunate enough to visit Germany twice. Mom passed away a couple years ago. This anthem and German Christmas songs still tear me up.

I'm an Indian, in love with German language and the Bundesrepublik Deutschland. The anthem is beautiful to say the least and can easily reduce someone to tears, given the rise and fall, and progress of the German nation against both internal and external disturbances. It is at this time that I must ask whether it is appropriate for non German supporters of Die Mannschaft to belt this anthem out passionately in the stadium, since it's well known that Germans have a very different take on patriotism. If you see the number 0,12% by itself. but they never made up more than 1% of the population in germany. In 1933 they made it up to 0,8%. I don't want to let it appear harmless, but the word "vanished" seems a bit hard to me.
