Weekend Girl / Burning Sun / Weekend Woman is so overlooked; it’s probably one of the best weezer songs of all time. It’s so money and everybody don’t even know it.
@@DBGoPRo I commented on this video about how he blatantly copied my Good Life and Pacific Sunset version that I edited my own some time ago, that sucks
I love these unreleased albums and hate them at the same time. It shows me that Rivers is capable of so much more than the commercially released albums. My theory is that he was so disappointed by the lack of commercial success of Pinkerton that it permanently distorted his perception of what the public wanted. I blame the record label for horrible promotion. I also have to blame Rivers for holding back on all this awesomeness.
I think your theory is correct. Pinkerton Deluxe even includes a segment of an interview at a radio show that someone literally trashes on Pinkerton, Rivers probably had a reason or at least some message to convey by including that.
I don't know how the tracks for the albums are picked out, because I feel like Rivers and the rest of Weezer must in some way realize that their unreleased discography is just way better than most of the things they come out with. Are the tracks picked by the record label?
@@Gabrn i remember one of the voice clips. The guy says that blue was poppy or that it was cool but it sucked and everyone talks over when he says that pinkerton is pretty good
@@cosmicthrillseekers Sorry for the late reply, if I recall correctly it's(or was) called Pacific Sunset - v9 more solo guitars Since Rivers has been tweaking and changing things around it could have a different name or have been entirely removed.

Pacific Daydream is a good album. I don't get why people hate it.

finally someone who chose the best version of up in the clouds
YESSS finally someone who thinks the same thing.. The key change mid solo is so jarring in the other versions
Holy shit, how has no one mentionned The Last Days Of Summer, insane stuff. Weezer should dare releasing an experimental album once more
Good times verse sounds like All this Love from SZNZ
Verse melody was repurposed for All this love
I love Good Times !! It's all good !!
Great job! I would have used Kazey's mix of Pacific Sunset, but it sounds good nonetheless.
I feel bad. Someone copy and pasted this and changed the picture and title and it got even more views than this.
Oh... What is the name of the video?
