High court did the right decision educating people about this is more important than punishing them, stopping something grows more urge in humans to do it . Also,this practice is not very well known in our country even though i am very well aware about the raids by international community ( joint operation) nearly every year in different states of our country to capture such people but catching people will not make any difference why govt. do not ban those apps and websites who are promoting this kind of stuff ?

Crime is crime. So punishment is justifiable. While I would agree that educating them is more important but you seriously think watching it shouldn't be as much a problem? I think whatever supreme court did was right. Watching such explicit content, should be considered as an criminal offence. Your point is "it may not stop them from watching" but in that case, alot of crimes shouldn't be marked as so just because people still do it.
