Fantasy genre with a heavy focus on Romance I feel like that’s a really good way to change out some of the monotony of romances while still keeping a lot of romance at the center of the book and raising the stakes a little bit to make it more interesting!

my favorite trope (and actually what happened to me) is also friends to lovers, because i agree so much with you when it comes to already having a bond with someone, and then build something together with this. i've met my bf in 2012 and we've been best friends ever since, but just 2 years ago we started a romance and i believe this is the secret to make it last forever
