Invader Zim - Ode to Joy

This was originally a tribute video to Invader ZIM to celebrate it's 15th anniversary.
This is one of my favorite shows and I discovered my passion for animation because of this show so I thought to make this to celebrate.
March 30th, 2001 this show aired for the first time and since then it grew an enormous fanbase and became a cult classic. It was unfortunately cut from production due to low ratings in the target demographic and the large budget it called for that Nickelodeon didn't have anymore due to Viacom's stock crash.
In 2015, Oni Press announced their latest project: to revive Invader ZIM as a graphic novel. Jhonen Vasquez, Eric Trueheart, Rikki Simons and Aaron Alexovich had already agreed to come back and continue the series via comic book. It has since been producing a comic per month since June 2015.

AS OF APRIL 4, 2017, NICKELODEON ANNOUNCED A 90-MINUTE TV MOVIE!!
THE FILM IS FINISHED and the release date is to be announced (2019)
