2018 - StarWars Dark Empire animated - Unfinished

This is the first serious attempt I made at animating dark empire. I hand drew much of the animation on sheets of paper, using old light table techniques, and then would scan it into my computer and color the shots in TVpaint. Was a grueling task but it resulted in a very neat aesthetic.
Ultimately I decided to start over due to a few factors, I had gotten better at animation, so much of the work no longer was up to the caliber I wanted to present, and the process of doing the animation on paper became redundant after I got a drawing tablet.

This is really cool! It's cool to see how far you came in just 2 years! Even in this stage it's highly captivating!
This is why i say legends deserves to be an alternative universe, and not just "legends told by people in the starwars universe."
That's so dumb.
Lucas wanted it to be sperate, but not that kinda separate. He wanted to do exactly what marvel did years later. And that was that the old EU was supposed to be the alternative universe. I mean the guy even says it in one of his interviews.
But whatever i guess.
Maybe disney will catch on some day.
