@@youtubeisasshoe8153 contracts and revenue is the answer to that. there's no garantee of being successful on another platform even if you are willing to take the risk, and people sign to specific platforms and have contracts to stick out. and no one is walking away from a big paying contract to move to a platform that isnt offering them anything. that'd be a huge hit to revenue.
long story short, for better or worse, there are people who are tied to twitch or youtube and cant afford to switch

I don't know what you think a "real case" is or that hollywood movie knowledge you're spouting about "no law firm would want to risk taking on such a big corporation" but you obviously have no idea how lawsuits in America work or how simple it is to find someone to take your case. Aside from the financial situation, the biggest setback from my perspective is not being allowed to play with other creators on Twitch. Doc is still entertaining here on RUclips don't get me wrong, but seeing Doc being limited to playing with certain creators from certain platforms is ridiculous and petty from Twitch's end. Especially when Z got suspended or something I believe from a Warzone tournament for cosplaying Doc is pretty silly. I'd love to see the Doc play with Nickmercs, timthetatman and more with all their friendly banter but as long as Dr is banned, we won't see that again from the light of day.

Twitch needs to realise they aren’t invincible. They have become this platform where essentially they change the rules as the game goes on so nobody can win but themselves. Hope Doc wins and gives them one of the greatest vsm filled reality checks of all time 💪

Why was doc banned?
@Zackarie M. We don't know, but what we do know is Doc had a exclusive contract with Twitch because it was during the mixer days but shortly after the contract was agreed. Mixer shut down. An then twitch banned Doc. Mostly because they were going to loss alot of money for really no reason.
Just realized. While hes talking about twitch and going thru all the speed bumps the guy he kills in warzone had a purple skin so symbolic

I actually started watching Doc after reading about his ban and saw he was picking back up on YT. I needed to see what this guy was all about. I've been on twitch for years and sadly never had a taste of the VSM. I now call those the "lost years" of my life.
twitch has been a real mess these past couple of years, especially with the treatment of content creators. glad to see doc is doing something about his mistreatment!

@@juanmiguel3395 Twitch banned him so they could nullify his exclusivity contract. Technically, they can legally do that, but it's still a malicious business practice that can be reasonably sued for.

I'm still keeping with the theory he was banned because Twitch offered him a multi-million dollar contract to stay with them and not switch to Mixer like other top streamers were, then Mixer shortly after shut down and Twitch didn't want to honor that contract and pay Doc what they offered because he was going to stay anyways after that. So they just perma banned him to avoid paying.

@@lansken it is something petty. Just look at the way doc talked about it. In their EULA it also says they can ban you at will. There is some loop hole here that they have ground to stand on. And unlimited lawyer resources. This case will take years. I hope doc gets a settlement.
